| I was impressed by Danny Houghton today against saints, Kirk Yeaman looks like he's recapturing some of his old form.
Ben Jones Bishop was another player that was showing high class form before his injury, Andy Lynch seems to improve most seasons at the Bulls, its just a pitty he's playing in such a poor side at the min. If Garreth Carvell decides that he wants to give the NRL a go then Andy Lynch wouldn't be a bad replacement. Elliot Whitehead is another at the Bulls that seems to be a decent prospect.
I'm sure their are plenty more players in SL that have shown improved form this year especially at Cas so i`ll leave the floor open, i wanted to try and stay away from the star names in the game and try to concentrate on those that are just under the radar so to speak.

| Scott Dureau at Catalans looks a quality act and I must admit to not hearing much about him until he played against us.
Tom Brisoce at Hull FC looks to be in fine form as well

Thats why i didn't mention Scott Dureau as their wasn't any form in SL to compare him against last season, he does look a classy player so far though. Tom Briscoe seems to improve each year, another winger i rate is Jodie Broughton at Salford.

| Based on "so far this season", then I never thought Matty Blythe would ever look like a decent SL centre, so was glad to be proved wrong on that. I'd written him off as a NL1 player.

| I wouldn't say any of those mentioned so far deserve most improved. They've all shown consistent good form or talent before, just cos they had an average year last year (Hodgson) doesn't mean they are most improved.
I'd probably go for Craig Huby maybe, unlucky with his injury but he was pulling up trees for Cas before that.

That's ironic, Huby has shown good form since he's been in super league, despite his young age. Always been one to watch.

Can't see that he's the most improved, but we are entitled to our own opinions I suppose
Lomax Wheeler and Gaskell have all done well at Saints
(Seems that anyone who has done well is now injured)

Most improved? Really? YPOTY and in the top 3 for MOS last year?
Huby hasn't stood out to me this year, if I've just not noticed him then fair enough!
Scott Grix is a very good shout though.

To be fair Rob, Houghton's not been any worse than "good" before.
and Yeaman has allready played test rugby, so the've not had that far to improve

| I'd say Yeaman is a shout for 'penny has dropped, now to put career back on track' without question, good to see, has all the attributes to be a class SL centre.
Grix is a shout, against us I though Cyril Stacul was very good, Chris Clarkson at Leeds looks to be developing nicely too. I've also got a lot of time for Kopczak at Bradford, think he's a good young forward.

| After being a bit of a journey man (Don't stop believing n'all that) I think Brough has been in formidable form, so much so that he's gone from a good buy for a mid table team, to a mature play maker for a side pushing for silver. Add in the fact he's now being tipped as England first choice, he's come along way from the start of last season with Wakey and Scotland.
Seen a bit of a briers esq rise in him. (Insert Penis Joke here)

This is one I am struggling with slightly, I know he got in the team of the month and had a few good games, but I actually think you were probably right initially, from what I have seen of him, he seems to lack the ball handling skills and decision making ability to make it as a SL centre....
Hope I am wrong.
As for most improved, I would agree that Danny Brough has looked excellent this season.

| What I've seen and read of him so far... Rangi Chase seems to have come a long way from last year. But is this due to him improving as a player or Danny Orr giving him a bit more freedom and taking away some of the responsibility?

| James Roby for me. Pains me to say it being a Wigan fan, but he has progressed from good to excellent. I thought he dipped in form after winning MoS a few years back, but is now playing at a better level than when he won that. Seems that KC retiring has actually improved his game.
Defo my tip for MoS this year on current form.
