If I'm right in thinking that a fair few members of our squad are over 30, then we can expect a lot of changes over the next few years. Should we look to bring players in, or go to the academy? i think we should bring some younger guys through but also bring in some experienced players. So who is likely to leave in the next 2/3 years and who should we target to bring in/promote?

i think the key will be slowly getting rid, and bringing in new players, either from the academy or from the outside, but it will be a difficult period, but before 2 years ago, every year i had watched the wire was a difficult period, so i wouldn't be too worried if we were to go into a period of rebuilding.

The player I really want to see get some game time is Gaz O'Brien, he could well be our replacement for Briers and that's got to be top priority for Wire in the next few years. Not THAT many of our players are over 30 and we've blooded plenty of young talent both in the pack and the backs, really our only trouble spots are half-back and we could use a young hooker.

Spoke to Steve Broomhead after the Crusaders game and he hinted that we'll see O'Brien in the next couple of games, as well as that young full back we've signed from bradford so good signs there.

think its a tricky one you have to blood the youngsters obviously when there ready.Gaz O Brien is a Half Back and Think the one from bradford is Luke Hellewell and hes a fullback/winger so both key postitions. honestly cant see these two being put in unless there is a big injury list, think there is too many players in front of them at the minute.

We won't be using a young player as a replacement for Briers. We will recruit probably from the NRL.

Or if we do I can just imagine the apoplexy on here if Myler is expected to be the one leading the team around the park, and the younger player running off him.
