NEver fails to amaze me that people on here take pleasure with seeing low crowds.

To be fair, Tin is hardly taking pleasure. More of an observation, I'd say.

It does look rather embarrassing for our sport when u see a ground that looks almost completely empty.

There'd be more at the Danny McGuire Appreciation Society in Wigan town centre

expansion down there is not working. No fan base. Shame but thats the reality. They could offer more to the national league than superleague.

I agree partially with what you are saying. However, I feel that is true of a lot of teams.

No one can deny that a smaller league would create a more intense league. Where is the trade off.

The best idea people have come up with so far is the two tier Super league. Maybe 16 teams, 8 in each tier. P + R for each tier. Takes some pressure off teams and can allow more focus. How much interest are Quins going to get this year? not as much as Saints or Wigan. In a smaller tier where they can develop and challenge for promotion they will generate a lot of interest.

I hope Quins can go the whole season unbeaten. I fear next week might be the end though

About 200 from Bradford. Bit harsh to be having a pop at Crusaders attendances.

Whan we played them last season the crowd was pretty decent!!!!
Mind you they stuck the welsh choir down one end so the ground looke quite full!!

Havin a game live on sky is always going to knock a few thousand off any attendance!15,000 +at Bradford last week its a pity their fans didnt fancy travelling to wrexham this week seemed like a couple of mini busses went up there all the same.

By the way, Harlequins are on Sky next Friday night.

I'm glad. I really really like Quins. They are developing real talent and play some goo d rugby. However, the support sin't there.

I do wonder the motivation behind Sky's decision to show that match. As we know they are leading the expansion idea as part of the contract. I suppose as they have to show a certain amount of teams, it is impossible to tell how it is going to shape up. Before the season i would have though that Huddersfield and Quins would be the reverse of what they are now.

Warrington has a population of around 200k and recent average attendances around 10k since the move to the HJ (albeit at Wilderspool it was usually around 6k) and a rich RL history.

Wrexham has a population of 40k, and no rugby league history.

Hence 10k from 200k ~ 5%, 2k from 40k ~ 5%.

Perhaps there's a question to be answered as to why we don't sell out the HJ for every game?
