With Wakefield being hot favourites to lose its licence this year, and with it probably not allowed to come back to super league until they have a new ground, is it fair to say that in a couple of months time we will have played our last game at Belle Vue?

Whilst im all for clubs having top facilities to take the game forward i wont half miss places like Belle Vue and the Willows when they are gone. Lets Pack them both out this year and give them a good send off.

no i know the argument about new grounds having character versus new souless lego kit stadia.

but defining character as having to up a corregated metal fence or standing on a crumbling terrace that was condemmed several years ago by the H&S brigade yet is being used still with noticable cracks in it.

No i do agree that new grounds for all is the way forward, just have some memories from every clubs old ground and there wont many left at all soon.

To be honest, I'm not impressed with any of the new grounds (even tho you're not wading thru p155 whenever you go), they just lack character.

I agree totally, seems like every time we go to Belle Vue it only seems to rain/snow/hail/tornado.

The view at Salford is great, but the walk in is not nice at all.

Castleford's ground is similar to Belle Vue really (noticed tonight there is no digger in the corner either), and why do we not do what Hudds fans did tonight and stand in the corner under the shelter?

All grounds / stadiums / arenas are soulless unless full (or pleasantly crowded) to the rafters with rabid, noisy fans

Whatever happens, it is your last game at Belle Vue (cup draw permitting). Will be at Barnsley FC ground next year, until new ground is finished.

I personally think we'll be playing in a new stadium in super league than wakey will... that is an exaggeration but it is a jungle out there in licensing.

Look at the teams trying (and most important not trying) for one this year. it is competitive and someone (fax or fev) have opted out of applying.

fev and batley have both opted out JD, its either fax or widnes coming in, and according to the RFL, theres already too many SL clubs in yorkshire!

So, when can you see Wakefiled returning?

NEVER!!!!! no in all honesty i dont think theyll stay down for longer than the 3 years, but..... there would have to be a good reason for them to come back up depending on how the team that comes up establish themselves!

I can't see wakey making a resurgence in the foreseeable future. You can't predict too far ahead in sport but they really won't be getting another bite in 3 years.

I think you'll find that the Cas game wasn't virtual silence, far from it, just the microphones are situated on the half way line and turned down. Which is why when Wire, Saints (last year), Leeds, Wigan sound loud because they are under the mics.

How do you think we feel, at least it's only once a season for you!!! Reminds me of when I started watching when we played in Winter and we were stod in the rain every week, no matter who we played.

Seriously though I'll miss it when we move out, many fond memories over the years.
