Is tomorrows game subject to a pitch inspection does anybody know?

Not heard anything but todays game at Widnes (Saints v Huddersfield) is off.

Not looking good then below zero again tonight

Assuming the match is on, does anyone know if all the ground will be open or will it be limited to just a couple of stands ?

States that a pitch inspection is set at 10am tomorrow, with the results of it to be posted on the club website at 10:30am. If it is called off then the game is set to be on Wednesday 2nd Feb...

Can't see it being on if it freezes like last night

I have just come back from walking the dog and the park field was frozen solid.
I just can't see there being a big enough thaw before 10am tomorrow.

I can't see it being on. I've been to the Wigan U20 v London Scholars game today and that was played, but they moved the touchline in by 10 metres on the South Side because of frost penetrating the pitch where the stand had prevented the sun from thawing the pitch.

Reckon it will be on metoffice says it wont go below 0 tonight.

The ground is solid. It is has been all day and it is already 0 now. Today's sun wasn't strong enough to make a difference and tomorrow won't be any different. Is it worth playing a 'friendly' - testimonial or otherwise - and risking injuries for the sake of waiting a few days for the pitch to thaw out?

I agree so has the decision been made and no pitch inspection tomorrow ?

But that's because Wigan council had the foresight to put in undersoil heating.

Wigan councill didn't have anything to do with the design they just ok'd it. Wigan council wanted to dig up and close the road outside the ground the other year. The closure was to start the day before we played Wigan in friendly and would last 4 days. Thats how clever Wigan council are.

Oh and Wigan manage to get their game on U20 v London Scholars today (42 - 10) at Orrell.

it better not be off i could of gone wales for weekend but never cause wouldnt of been back in time for the game. but i suppose a night game under the floodlights isnt all bad
