| Their team was clearly the best last year and went on to win the Grand Final. They have since recruited some top notch players and let some lesser players go. Why shouldn't they be confident? In their position I'm sure we would all feel similar.
My only concern, if I were a wigan fan, would be how quickly their imports settle. We know from experience that it can take a season or more!

| Not sure how serious Brett Finch's neck injury is, but if its a bad 'un he could be out for a while. He'll be a key player for them next season when he plays.

| Wigan should win the league again next year.
Their squad in 2010 was the strongest in the division. For 2011 they have dumped what they did have and brought in better quality. I dont think any other squad has strengthened in the way Wigan has and therefore they are easily my tip for the coming year. I honestly don't even think anyone will come within 8 points of them come year end. Only if Lima, Hoffman and Finch flop may they struggle slightly, but they looked a real good side last year.

Its always a concern, but personally im off the feeling that it should help that:
- they are coming over in a group, surely 3 of them moving over together at the same time should help
- coming to a club under a coach who they know and have worked with very recently
- and lastly because as key players as we hope they'll be, we could still put out a very competitive side if they weren't playing well, so there should be less pressure on them to perform from the word go.

| If you cant be confident after a season of finishing top, only losing 1 away game in the league & winning Super League, when can you be confident?

| Wigan will be the side to beat again.
Both us and wigan have both improved our squads.... it will be an interesting season... I see us being the top 2 sides.
I imagine they will be thinking we are their biggest threat.

| Hate to say it but Wigan do have the bragging rights; but as much as I agree Wigan and Wire have improved their squads on last year, I have a feeling Saints are gonna win the league. For me the top 4 will be the 3 above and Hudds. I really like what Brown has done there and good luck to them - a season too soon to challenge for a trophy? I don't think so...
Come on the Wire! ISWT!!

Full of what?
What's wrong with discussing potential title challengers?
Most people did say Wire, is that a load of, too .... No didn't think so.

| If Wigan or Wire have the sorts of injuries suffered by St Helens last year, and Leeds early on, then we'd do very well to finish in the top 2.
Take King, Briers, M Monaghan, Morley and Westwood out for any length of (overlapping) time. Or Richards, Gleeson, Finch, Coley, O'Loughlin. Easy to replace for a match or two, but any length of time and you're in trouble.

Wigan have strength in depth unlike Warrington.

| Wigan had a great season last year after a number of rubbish ones. Warrington have won 2 successive CC's and nowt else for donkeys years. Saints and Leeds are still the teams to beat next season. They have proved to be the top teams for a number of years (even when they were predicted to be on the slide)
1st/2nd Saints/Leeds
3rd/4th Wire/Wigan.
Don't get me wrong, I want the balance of power to shift but any pretenders will need to do more than both Warrington and Wigan have done to date for that to happen.

Think your totally wrong, how can they be the teams to beat when they won nothing last season?
Wigan and Warrington hold both major honours, therefore teams, coaches and fans will see us as teams to beat as they want those trophies, it's not rocket science.

I'll let the rocket science comment go.
Anyway I've lost count of the times that Saints and Leeds have been teams in decline. 1 strong season from Wigan and Warrington is a good start but that's all it is. Again as I stated earlier, I want, and I think SL needs, a change from Saints/Leeds domination. If both our teams take over that position then brilliant.

I never said they are teams in decline, I just disagreed that you stated that they were the teams to beat, if you ask most Rugby League fans who are the teams to beat in 2011 ... I think the majority would come back with Wigan and Warrington.
