He went off injured early in the game. He got a knock to his arm but apparently he had an arm injury during the season and it may be a recurrance. We lost Tomkins too, to an ankle injury. Hopefully both will be fit for next week.

| Think Eddie has wrote of Morleys chances already,by sayin his body language was all wrong in the interview afterwards.I think morley looked quite jolly to be honest i would be a lot more concearned if he had a knee or leg injury get him strapped up ala nick fozzard style for next weeks game he should be fine..

why risk our captain against such great opposition especially if weve only managed two draws with cumbria and nz maori?
not worth it if theres any chance of it being doubtful!

| Morley has a slight arm injury, should be ok. Looked like they missed his leadership up the middle. I thought Widdop looked solid and Tomkins looked good. There was an awful lot of lying-on around the play the ball, I hope that isn't the trend for the rest of the tour...

Tomkins has a groin problem as well.
Whether they are fit or not we will still get mullered in the comp.
We are still not good enough all round. Being good enough or better in one area is of no use in a comp of this kind. You need players good enough in all positions to stand any chance - sadly we are lacking in most departments.

| Got woke up by my dad so ended up watching the second half, Could tell it was the 1st game they was all tired after 50 minutes. England could not slow down the play the ball so was always on the back foot for most of the second half. Great try saving play by Briscoe again aswell.

| awful - that was pretty close to full strength & they were clueless in attack in 2nd half. Records could well be rewritten in the next 4 weeks...

That was because we didn't have Tomkins on the field. Brown/Robinson just weren't the same level at all. No creativity between them. No ingenuity. Nothing much at all really.

| I’m probably in a minority here, and I’ll get ripped for saying it:
I think these games are an unnecessary waste of time.
You risk your best players getting injured when they should be on holiday relaxing after a hard season.

fully agree. I think think everyone can write the script, beaten by NZ, Mullered by the aussies, and a close win over PNG. Then we can all enjoy a NZ V Aussie final. Hate to be this negative about england (used to love the GB test matches.) but can't get excited about a mcnamara side.

I backed the kiwis for the 4 nations as soon as i seen noticed how many high profile Australians would be missing from their squad, at 4/1 the kiwis look to be value, i'd be very suprised if they didn't at least make the final.
Australia are no value at 2/5, they may well win but they have blew it against the kiwis a few times in recent years. I like how many creative players that the kiwis have in Nathan Fein, Issac Luke, Benji Marshall and Thomas Leuluai, you can even throw Ben Roberts into the mix. They look to have plenty of tries in them with Vatuvei and Shaun Kenny-Dowall out wide.
I just don't see it with England, we look too slow, too small, we lack skill across the backline and we don't look as powerful as the kiwis and aussies.
I was watching some old Great Britain games the other night and i'd say we have gone backwards at international level, even though we took some hammerings in the past against the aussies we did play some good RL at times. We certainly don't have an Andy Farrell at his peak, a Paul Sculthorpe, Keith Senior at his peak who was always a danger, Kris Radlinski etc etc.
Sam Tomkins looks the only danger in this current England backline, up front we looked workmanlike this morning ratrher than explosive which is what the kiwis and aussies will be like.
