Hetherington mumbling something that Cross was their number one target....hmmm
Its here to be picked up and quoted at a later date but I dont think Cross is any good...He's a big unit of a man but ive seen him this season get smashed about quite a bit...I'm sure he was sparked out by a halfback this season - Souths half Chris Sandow springs to mind but I could be wrong - however he does seem to get knocked out more than Lee Gilmour used to do!!
He's also never scored a Try in top grade rugby league....
and 95 first grade appearances in a 7 year career is equally unimpressive.
surely he wouldnt be a top four teams "number one Signing"

first thing i thought of when i saw the signing was 'he is going to get smashed'.... i was also under the impression that he has taken some massive hits this season.
If he was Leeds number one target then I wouldn't like to have seen their 2nd choice.
I know one thing.... I would have been disappointed if he had signed for us.

Yeah i didn't see many Newcastle games this year, but the ones i did he did nothing, in no way worthy or replacing Eastwood (who i thought never played his best for Leeds anyway)
