Yes I think the Swanns have some local family connections, I remember reading that Graeme Swann was a Warrington fan ages ago, when his brother Alec was at Lancashire.

Its his mum who's from Warrington, i remember a interview last year during a lunch break in a ashes test when he mentioned it. Great celebrity fan considering he's in the top 2-3 cricketers in the world at the moment.
Speaking of cricketers who enjoy there rugby, did anyone see Ryan Sidebottom just behind Morley when he lifted the cup? a Huddersfield Giants fan i belive, think he actually got Swann into rugby when they were both a Nottinghamshire.

Spot on. Sidebottom took Swanny along as guest last year for the Hudds final and, naturally, to spice things up, Swanny chose to follow the Wire. That's what I read somewhere recently, didn't know he had an actual connection to the town though. |
