Agreed, the whole ref situation is becoming a joke, with Mr Ganson " not available " there is no pressure on the ref's and video refs to get decisions right because there is not enough of them and none coming through, that decision was wrong and could have affected the outcome of the game, it certainly affected points differance.

as I said in the other post attacking Ian Smith - last night Ben Westwood scored a try from a double movement which had it gone to VR would have been disallowed, the ref who gave that was Ian Smith. You can't have it both ways.

A referee on the field and making a wrong decision is one thing, watching it on tape from various angles as many times as deemed necessary and still getting it wrong is another.

thats the best yet...last night i couldnt hear the commentry at all.
for the booing all through the game from wire fans...which seemed to dissapear in the second half when ian smith CANED hull with penalties...

Ian Smith had PLENTY opportunity there to watch it over and over in slow motion, allowing that try was FAR worse than anything he did or didn't do concerning Westwood.

the booing was because hull were constantly off side at the potb in the second half they were brought to task for it, hence the booing stopped, the OP meant the players rather than fans BTW!

Im not saying there aren't any moaners in the Warrington team, I was just helping out the guy who got the wrong end of the stick with the whingers comment.

FWIW, Briers may be prone to the odd whinge to the ref, but theres a massive difference between the odd whinge and the way the likes of Wilkin, Wellens and most notably Graham berate the referee.

Just seen the Roby "try" on Superleague Show. VR clearly pressed the wrong button - didn't he?
Roby tried to ground it short, lost the ball forward, regathered it and shovelled it on to the line.
He must have pressed the wrong button!

I've been muttering that to myself often since then.

It is a real embarrassment to the sport.
