Was absolutely awful in the 1st half. Someone must have had a word with him @ half time, because he suddenly started equaling things up in the penalty count & finally pinged Hull for holding down

I don't normally criticize the Ref, because he has an extremely difficult job to do. But I did feel the first half was not his best day at the office.
In the second he evened things up and he could have gone to the VR for a double movement on Bennys try, but instead just gave it.

Funny how when we played in the first half the ref was to blame.

Expanding you mindset at tad, could it be the holding down was affecting our play as we are not a slow grinding team?

To be honest I think he was poor for both teams - but the fact he allowed such slow play the balls benefited Hull more than it did us.

No. I though Smith allowed the usual amount of time in the tackle thats been consistent all season for him.

We were in the first half and lucky to be level at half time. After the first try in the second half we stepped up a couple of gear, but was surprised Hull collapsed like they did. I think 36-18 doesn't really reflect the story of the game honestly.

Made me laugh in the first half. He was giving us nothing and out comes the old, "The referee's a w**ker" chant. Suddenly we got a penalty!

He wasn't as bad as Thaler last week, not by a long way.

I've re-watched the game and Smith was not that bad. I didn't actually think he was that bad during the match. Yeah, he allowed a slow ptb but that's not wrong decisions, that's just his style. His biggest error, if it was one, was awarding Westwood's try.

He was crap!

And how did the VR not see the knock on for Hulls last try, it might of bounced off one players knee but it then came back off the other players hand and went forward.

Gave that knock on to Monas which went behind his back, gave a knock on to Wood who passed it backwards in the tackle.

Didnt see the double movement by Westwood.

I could go on..... he was crap for both teams, its the only thing i can think that made it even

He mad some mistakes, but every one of those was 100% correct.

Just watched it then, not one of them was correct
