| Greetings from a Rhino... looking forward to Wembley and a great game on the 28th August. I thought I should post this here as well as on Southstander.com
We are taking William (19 months old) to Wembley with us and decided to just check up on the whole kids and Wembley things in advance.
Firstly, and I really can't believe this either, you can't take a pushchair! Well you can, but you will have to leave it outside the confines and surrounds of the ground as they have no place to store them and are not interested in helping you with them in anyway. They have great baby changing facilities apparently, but no pushchairs??? Wembley Park stadium does not have left luggage facilities but at least the nice man on the London Underground help-line was as amazed as me about pushchairs and gave me a list of stations that do have left luggage.
Secondly, you need a ticket for your little ones no matter how young, they are free (I suspect maybe under 2's, but not sure) but you MUST get a ticket for them, or they too will have to wait outside. This I get, but if you look on the RFL website it says nothing about this at all?
I get the impression the RFL are quite un-happy about the no pushchair thing and she told me they received lots of complaints after last years final but said that they have to abide by Wembley's ground regulations.

| I think you'll find the 'no pushchairs' thing quite common. No pushchairs are allowed in the Halliwell Jones stadium either. My daughter is 22 months but we'll be leaving her at home with a sitter. Not being allowed a pushchair just makes it a nightmare trying to take a little one in and not much fun for them either in my opinion.

| Free tickets for little ones. Mrs WalterWizard was told that she had to but a ticket for a tiny tot in their party who will only be 14 months. That info came from Wembley.

| The 'no pushchair' rule has made the decision for me that my wee one is staying home with Nana. I guess it is for safety but when they designed a new stadium you think they would incorporate perhaps a more family friendly separate area? I was thinking of asking if I could take in my travel chair i take to the pub instead of using the grotty highchairs. It folds very small and then I thought maybe it would strap to her seat. But then I decided against it.
Ah well guess I can have a beer?

| Yes, you can have a beer, but last year it was £4 a pint in the ground.

| The RFL confirmed that it is free for under 2's but you need a ticket. This seems to be a well kept secret so contact the RFL for more info. Im driving to the game and would gladly store a pram or 3 in my boot for any Wire or rhino fan

Many thanks for the info, we are thinking of taking our little 'un Alfie (14 weeks) along to his first final. Glad we didn't get to the turnstyle unprepared!

| I was having the same problem with Pushchairs and Tickets for my 18 month old daughter Chloe.
After reading on the Wembley stadium website that Pushchairs were a prohibited item, I phoned Wembley stadium to seek there advice. I was informed that you can leave pushchairs at the outside the ground customer services, there is one at the East side and one at the West side.
I was then told by that I would have to purchase a ticket for my daughter, at £51 a ticket we decided that this was probably going to be a bit expensive, so decided to try and find a baby sitter for the day, and purchased 4 tickets for the adults that are going.
After reading this thread I phoned the Rugby Football League Ticket number and questioned the 'babes in arms' ticket, I was informed that yes there is a 'babes in arms' ticket. We were then fortunate to get a ticket for the next seat to where we are sat, free of charge.
So now we are all going.

If you have got your tickets and not got one already, you call the RFL they will send you one out in the post for free. You will need to tell them which block you are in so they can give you a ticket that uses in the same entrance letter but they always have loads of singles floating around and like us, you probably will not want to actually use the seat they send you anyway.

Thanks for the info about the customer services desk/place, so that is great, we can just leave the pushchair there.
Glad you got sorted for a ticket and luckily right next to you anyway!

| With all due respect, why would you want to take a 19 month old baby unless it's truly your only option and you wouldn't be able to go yourself otherwise?
It's not like they're going to appreciate being there, or remember it in future years when they're discussing first games etc with their mates. My first Wembley was aged 15 in 1995, and although it might have been nice to go a bit earlier - the 1989 or 1992 FA Cup Final's for example - I'm glad I can remember it so I wouldn't have wanted my first time to be something like the 1981 Milk Cup which I'd have no recollection of now.
It also means you'll be constantly worried about ensuring their well being, especially if you find yourself sitting in the midst of a load of bevvied up lads once inside the ground, rather than just relaxing and enjoying the day yourself.
Fair enough if you really have no other option but if you can get a sitter then that makes far more sense to me.

and if its a sell-out denying another fan the opportunity to attend.

| I'm all for letting little'uns attend cup finals at Wembley, mainly because I was denied that privilege in 1990. The fact I was six months old shouldn't be an excuse IMO.
