Well the new seasons fixtures came out for Town yesterday. The first home game of the season is Chester City.

CCFC took 1,500 across to Wales for a friendly which had some crowd trouble issues both at the game and in Colwyn bay. since then North Wales plod has cancelled the other fixtures in Wales.

So will Cheshire plod move the Town v City game to HJ as maybe CP is not up to the job of hosting such a large game.

ahh i must of dreamt that liverpool reserves played there and a couple of womans european championship games aswell lol if it did id probably go lol

It's nothing to do with WWRLFC. If town were to approach the Club that might be a different matter.

From what I understand, it will still be at Cantilever Park but probably all-ticket. Town would lose a fortune if they switched to the HJ as they've have to pay rental and give up their biggest payday of the year in the bar and for the catering.

After the trouble Chester had at their recent friendly you may well find that the Police put restrictions on the gate.

So did we all but then they want let any of the Towns amatuer finals be played on their and neither will they let any of the scholorship or service area games use it so I dont think it should be used for a tin pot football team unless they are paying an absolute fortune for it.

Went past the stadium about lunchtime either Monday or Tuesday this week (cant believe i don't remember the day) anyway, their was something going on so looked through one of the gates and their was some sort of promotion going on photo shoots etc and they had wendy ball nets up and wooden blue and yellow corner flags. Any ideas

They have been using the stadium to film a new BBC drama about football.

there is a good chance it will get moved to either hj or the old zoo due to the chester city following they will bring a good crowd and will fancy there chances of causing trouble and warrington towns ground really iis not desaigned for away fans of that number

It won't be at Wilderspool if they are expecting a good following. The terraces are not fit and they only open half the stand! Another stadium that they will not allow the amateur town rugby league final to be played in.

If Chester City take say 1500, added to Warrington Town's usual 25 speccies they should easily fit into Cantilever Park no problem
