| The people who were wearing Warrington shirts and disrespected the Welsh Anthem are not welcome at our club or any other RL game.
The worst offenders were in the stand to the left of the main Warrington stand and stood next to a guy with a drum.

| First of all let me say we had a lovely day yesterday, Wrexham is easy to get to, easy parking, nice ground etc.
With regards to the Welsh National Anthem, yes I did respect it, but I also object to me respecting the Welsh Anthem, but them not also playing, the English National Anthem. If clubs in different countries are going to play their own surely they should play both to comply with the RFL policy on racism.

Catalans Anthem was sung in Perpignan at Wigan game, nobody disrespected it. The male voice choir were the prematch entertainment, no need to bring racism into it.

| Everyone stood to respect it, and then the Young 'Uns to what was my right singing God Save Our Sheep semi-ruined it.
I agree that if they wanted to play their national anthem, they should have played ours too, it's only fair really.
The day wasn't too bad, although the beer in Wrexham is officially rubbish.

WTF!
RACISM? I'M SORRY BUT.... i stood for the national anthem, showed respect as appropriate and found the singing carried out by a few knobs who can't handle their beer (a minority i must point out) distastefull, rude and pathetic, but never once racist, please explain why it was racist?

| I don't see why they should play ours as well as theirs.
It is not an international fixture and the Crusaders are merely trying to make themselves into a team representing Wales to get more through the turnstiles.
I agree about the beer in Wales it is pooh and always has been whenever I visit Wales. However the British Legion in Tenby does the best pint of Guinness I have ever tasted better than any pub in Ireland can serve.

How did you get to racism from all that twaddle you just posted? If Crusaders wants to play their National Anthem, that is fine. Doesn't necessarily mean that the English National Anthem has to be played aswell.
If anything is remotely "racist", it's probably the boozed up chavvy morons who disrepected Land Of Our Fathers. But that doesn't surprise me now, as since our CC final win, we have seemed to have some "additional support" in the form of loutish youths who just come down for a beer and a rumble.

| Very dispointed with a large group of fans, singing and banging drums during this. Of which seems to be the case in France every year as well.
As it a passionate song like the Catalan anthem it is there to build up the atmosphere.

Twaddle is it, I am sorry you think so Mistah Lee but we obviously have different ideas. I think the Welsh people are very patriotic, as am I as a proud English person, and yes the people who did not respect their Anthem were incredibly rude. But I stand by my original post, I don't think their Anthem should have been played, but if they choose to do so, they should respect my Anthem also. On your second point, I think the problem is with young people not being brought up to respect anything. Maybe I go back further than most on this forum. But I remember standing for the National Anthem all events even the cinema.

| When asked to take reasonable steps to observe another countries national anthem I will always do so (especially when on their turf).
Yesterday reminded me of when I was in Sea World Florida. I was sat having dinner when the US National Anthem came on and all around me Americans were stood up with hands over their hearts, salutes, tears, the works. I made sure that I stood up and kept quiet just for a minute or so as a sign of respect.
Yesterday at Wrexham two things annoyed me;
First of all, the simple fact that people failed to respect what had been asked, this ranged from not standing up to actually chanting over the national anthem. I imagine these are the kind of people who would explode with rage of people did the same for the English national Anthem.
Second, people going crazy insisting that for the sake of "equality" they must play the English National Anthem too. There are a hundred reasons why that is an insane request. Nowhere does it say that one nations national anthem must be followed by another's, especially for a league match. It was obviously being played to inject a bit of atmosphere and passion into the match. (I am not making a point of this but does anyone know if a French anthem was played following the English National Anthem when Catalan played at Wembley a few years ago).
I just thought that some of what I heard during those minutes in Wrexham yesterday are a case in point of some strange/ nasty element which seem to be creeping into our fan base post Wembley 2009.

| it should just be left to individuals whether they wish to stand and participate in the Welsh national anthem
personally, I stay seated .... I'm not racist but patriotic to my own Country; I wasn't insulted by the Crusaders playing the Welsh national anthem nor insulted when asked to stand for the same, but it would just have been "wrong" and false for me to stand
had the same "issue" a few years ago now when my daughter attended a karate tournament when the audience were asked to stand for the Japanese national anthem ...... same opinion, same result
KEEP THE FAITH .... !!

but disrespectful to another country?
It is as old as the hills that all national anthems are respected by standing during their playing. It's not much to ask.

| I was sat near the guys with the drum in the left hand stand away from the main wire supporters and they were shocking. I missed the national anthem as one of our party had to get her ticket from the cabin but it wouldnt surpise me if they were the same group chanting over the national anthem. Im a southstander and stand just to the right of the Barmy Army at the HJ and didnt recognise any faces.
How many times they sang "The Famous Wigan Rugby..." song i lost count but showed their level of intelligence i guess. They weren't kids either, some in that group were well past 40. As a group who regularly attend games with 4 kids under the age of 12 you expect the odd expletive as its in peoples nature when aggrieved but these guys were shocking.
How can you not stand when asked? It just shows how disrespectful some people are. Its clear that Crusaders are doing a great job marketing the club as a Welsh team in an area of Wales more patriotically inclined, both in Language and Nature, than any other. As I say I missed the anthem but i would have stood without question.

Could we say the same about minute silences? I don't see what the harm is in showing respect for another country.

| Pedantic note for those who have waffled on about the Welsh and English national anthems:
They don't exist. The British national anthem covers both nations.
However, unlike the English, the Welsh choose a patriotic song celebrating their country to represent them at sporting events rather than an ode to a unelected figurehead.

The Welsh one does exist the English one doesnt they choose to use the United Kingdom one.
And the reason why it was sung yesterday was due to choir. It is not done every week.
Yet again it shows our supporters in a bad light, just like the announcement to kerb the foul language, our lot jeered while the Crus clapped iin support of it.
I love the songs and passion but sometimes its cringeworthy.
