You watched a different game than I did.. All three of them were distinctly average, and that is just about their level.

I thought McCarthy was great, the kid has alot to learn but will be a star in a few years. Not average.

I went to the game and sorry the say have to agree with rogues. All of them looked average but so did all the Leigh team. The only defence for them that wouldnt have been on t.v is constantly being swaped positions and Robbie Paul should hang up his boots

I think to attack Leigh is doing Batley a disservice. They were excellent from 1-17 and thoroughly deserved the result. Leigh were unlucky with injuries to lose 2 to the blookd bin for most of the fist half with Goulden off to hospital to have his face put back together, while Robbie Paul didn't know which leg to limp with hampered Leigh, but Batley deserved all they got.

would persevere with McCarthy and possibly Mitchell for a while, you don't get as many raps of top players as Mitchell did at the beginning of the season without having something, but Matty Blythe, sorry but will never be good enough for Warringtons first team

In his defence in an interview with Ian Millward on BBC GMR, hes had a pain killing injection in his boll*cks so he could play. My hats goes off to him, id rather have a week off than an injection down there!!

Not one of them stood out ln last nights game, you certainly didn`t get left with the impression that any of them stood out as a league above championship level.

McCarthy made a couple of runs but they were nothing out of the ordinary, i accept that they are still kids and they will probably improve but i don`t see any early X factor with any of them.

The Batley effort especially in defence was immense last night, they certainly wanted that win more than Leigh did. They were the better team and deserved the win.

They're kids! And Tyke had a CC Winners medal just 3 games into his first team career. Give them a chance.
