There was alot of hype and banter during the international games at the back end of the season on who was better, this that and the other, and the view by most fans was that Richie wan't as good as the other two. I know Richie is injured but who would you play if he was fit for England on 12th June

The stats don't lie Kyle is the king.
He's the only one who can break the line, speed away from wingers then step the fullback.
Kyle embarassed Myler back at KR kicking from the touch in the rain & scoring a solo try.
For me Kyle 7 Tomkins 6.

Berk. I agree that Tomkins 6 Eastmond 7 is the best England combination right now, but Myler is right up there though he's the youngest of the lot.

Eastmond is a highly skilful player but his increasing petulance makes me wonder whether he, like Long/Wellens/Roby/Cunningham, is another talented player who will never shine outside of his 'home' environment (i.e. St Helens). At Saints, where he can tell the ref to f*** off every time a decision goes against him, he can get away with being a bit of a crybaby, but in the heat of a test match losing your head like that might be costly.

Tomkins is also a good player but seems to have stopped improving. He got put on his a few times on Saturday and never really bossed the game when Wigan were in possession. In fact, Richards seemed to be doing much of the work a stand-off would be expected to.

Myler is still improving, although I don't think he has the all-round game that perhaps the other two have. His defence is excellent and he has a great instinct for where the play is going to go and for putting himself in the right position to score a try or keep a move going. If he can learn a thing or two from Briers about timing a pass and in-play kicking then he can ge himself in and around the England squad on a regular basis.

In addition, Briers' try yesterday, right. I'll throw it out there that Briers is actually learning from Myler - following the ball, timing of runs, hitting the gap etc. I've seen Briers carry the ball ten times more this year and get his rewards.

Mylers try-assist per game is better than "Kyles". Nuff said.

Myler has a better try-assist per game ratio than both. Far more effective.

The best 7 in the world is Thurston, guess you didn't hear his choice words for the ref on sat morning? Its called PASSION & wanting to win?? The best players are no angels.. Give me a Long / Eastmond / any day over a Myler..

Bad example mate, Thurston has been charged with that and he will miss one game if he accepts the charge and risks a 2 game ban if he fights it....

Eastmond would be lethal at FB time to attack the line when he wants on whichever side of the pitch he wants? Taking the ball at 3rd receiver in the 3/4s? Strong in the tackle & good with the boot? Would be fantastic there.

On current form, you would have to look at Pryce at 6 though above Tomkins...

By "failed time and time again" your talking about one performance. Stretch your mind back a year earlier to the World Cup.

Thurston's behaviour in that game was disgusting and completely contrary to the values of RL. Your last comment shows you up for the sort of individual you are.

When Tomkins improves his kicking game a little bit more he will be clearly the better of the 3. He has more of an all round game.

He has a great running game like Eastmond but is not quite as strong but he is better in broken play and also has a much better passing game. He is also a born leader and organiser.
