I agree with this, i know alot of Leeds fans who say their ongoing sucess is down to the foundations TS built.
The guy is an absolute genius, he was able to take us to the next step, Words cant describe how good it was to hear he signed a new contract 
in smith we trust! |

Steve Folkes is a good coach with a proven record in the NRL. I remember reading a stat when it was announced he was leaving Canterbury that over the past 8-10 years or something, only Bennett had a better overall win/loss record than Folkes.
Having said this, if the reason we held off on getting Folkes in 2007 was because we informally had Smith lined up for 2009, hence the stop gap of Lowes when Cullen quit, then I would have rather had Smith than Folkes because there's always the unknown factor of how a good NRL coach will transfer to SL, and Smith was proven in SL.
Where would we have been with Cullen in charge? I reckon we would have finished higher in the table last year for starters. With last year's favourable Challenge Cup draw - could we have won the Cup under Cullen? not impossible! We would not however be the consistent unit we are now though. |

I don't believe we would have won the Cup under Cullen last season. I don't think we would have handled the pressure of the HKR game sufficiently. |

We had to beat Hull KR, Wigan and Huddersfield. That cup took some winning. |
