Cracking start ahead of the season proper.
Nice to see Squadbuilder getting a mention:
www.warringtonwolves.org/victory ... -u18s-3227
April 3rd is their first league game, I would recommend getting down there as they look a special bunch.

| Good to see them doing well, hopefully they can come through the ranks and perform well for us at Super League level.

| I'm looking forward to watching that young Australian lad, my memory seems to theink that is Sam Caslick, is that right ?
He looked a big lad on the back of the Guardian, dwarfed Chambers.
What's the crack with him, he's not just passing through for a year I hope. Might be a gem.

| Sam Caslick is the Australian lad. Stand-off/scrum half, big lad as well if memory serves.

| Wire U18's started the season really well last year then fell away, but I expect them to be really strong this year. I don't understand this non competitive U18's this season, it doesn't make sense to me.
There does seem to be a major problem with Leeds at the moment regarding their junior sides, I'm not sure if it is poor recruitment, poor coaching or both.

Don't know where we scored all our tries but he can certainly kick goals if those stats are anything to go by. And he looks like his Dad. It's a tired old cliche but if he's even half the player...
I've heard lots of positive things about both the 18s and 20s this year with particular mentions to the likes of Shaw, Williams and Evans. I remember a few years ago (05 or 04) watching a slighty chubby, red cheeked lad call Harrison coming on for his debut in a friendly (Barrow I think). Did OK. He's now a Rambo lookalike who is terrorising most teams he comes up against. Hopefully some of these lads will go the same way.
Are the 18s/20s fixtures available online anywhere? I can't find them.

| Is the Brad Dwyer mentioned in the report Bernard Dwyer's son?
I've got in the back of my mind that he is. We could have a "Lads v Dads" charity match to raise funds for Squadbuilder.
Bobbie Goulding, Rob Myler, Bernard Dwyer(?), Paul Hulme, Kieth Holden together with Ryan Shaw's and Brooke Broughton's dads who both I think played outside of the top flight at least gives us a sevens team.
Either way good to see Squadbuilder getting a nice mention in the article. It doesn't get quite the push that it used to on here when SEB was more active.

Both.
Quote ="Wire_85"John Bastian leaving maybe?'"
It was in decline before Bastian was in charge. One of the reasons he decided to leave.
Smith changed the whole set up of the juniors when he was running the club and very much for the worse. Putting in place poor coaches, who were yes men for him, at the expense of good coaches. McClennan changed nothing. Now we are seeing the effects of that.

You might find he's learnt from those mistakes. I don't know. But he definately ruined the whole junior set up at leeds, by only wanting yes men reporting.
Not alone, like I said, because McClennan's changed nothing since.

Don't know if he bought anyone in to be honest, John Bastian was already here as was Gary Chambers.
