Is it just me who groans at the sight of 'Barmy Army'? Plus using it only ever mockingly, bit like 'Wazza'?

I'm with you there. There's nothing much Barmy about us anymore.

But you have to be a bit barmy to follow Town through thick and thin.


Most Town fans appreciate and follow the Wolves and there is plenty of room for both to thrive well in the future with a population of 200,000 and growing.
In fact there are probably more football fans in Warrington than Rugby league - they just choose to follow the Prima Donna teams in the Premier League.
We are converting them slowly.

One of the hardcore group of Warrington Town supporters I know actually follows Hull KR and he hates the Warrington Wolves.



How does that work out then?

Me as well.

Most people that are in to their football in Warrington already support one of the big 3 North West clubs, or Everton, and are unlikely to go and watch anyone else especially at that level.

Should have been Locked or moved to Other Sports .

Shame really as it's considerably cheaper, often more exciting & played by real people instead of mirror brandishing primadonnas you see in the "Professional" game. Non-league football & Premiership football are as different as League & Union these days.

I don't think so. I'd like to think we can give Skents a bit of latitude as he always promotes his interviews on here and would involve the forum a bit more I think if we were more constructive.

Before I joined up on here, I read a lot of posts and threads. I seem to remember a thread about the history of the town, which stretched to over 50 pages. Should that have gone into another section of the site because it wasn't about the club?

Disappointing result but in light of recent performances not too bad - made a game of it and great atmosphere from our junior barmy army - I think we had more drummers than at the HJ and believe we could be heard in the middle of Stockton Heath!
