| I went into the shop today to swap my south stand season ticket voucher for one for the west stand for next sunday's match against crusaders. I and my friend like to have a bit more room at matches if possible and frequent the west stand. Today the shop staff swapped the tickets again no problem, but added "the standing tickets for this game are cheaper than your season ticket price for this game but we are not giving season ticket holders any refunds". I said "okay" and took my ticket for the crusaders game which had printed on it an adult admission price of £10 instead of the usual £17 for home matches. I went home and worked out that my early bird season ticket price of £171 means I pay just over £13 for every home game. Now I am not against the club trying to attract new fans by offering discounted tickets for matches where they feel there won't be much away support(quins, crusaders, catalan)and also trying to boost attendances for these fixtures but should it be done at the expense of someone who coughs up their hard earned in advance every year? If as i expect the catalan game is also one where discounted tickets are offered then that will probably mean any early bird offer for season ticket holders is now worthless as cheaper tickets are available leading up to the game in question. So,is it really worth buying a season ticket next year? Opinions please!

| Well, isn't the South Stand usually more expensive than the West?
If they had the offer of £10/£5 for the South Stand for these games, I'd be a little annoyed as I am a South Stand season ticket holder, but the West is the "Away End" ... And when the Away support isn't going to be as good as say Wigan/Leeds/Saints etc, it's good that they are reducing the price for the odd game or two.
If you owned a West Stand season ticket and paid £171 Early Bird for it with these offers, then I could understand why you're annoyed, but in my opinion, you paid for a South Stand season ticket! (I know West isn't available in Season Ticket form anymore, but I hope you understand what I mean)

| Not sure how much a season ticket was full price for the South stand, but even saving £21 buying discounted tickets I would expect you are still saving. Would prefer to watch from the South Stand so not an issue for me but I take your point.

It was friend for a fiver in mine. Used it at the Quins game. Someone I know from Preston wanted to see Jedward, and I took the opportunity to introduce her the Rugby League.

| I've just checked it's 10 and 5 for adults and kids respectively I can see the point but I suppose the club will look at it better fullish at half price than not at full price looks good on the stats and more revenue on merchadise sold

It said its down to availability.
If in doubt, try the club shop. They'll sort it out.

| I cans sort of see your point but you do have a south stand season ticket.
For me a season ticket isn't about saving money as I don't actually save any. I use the 6 month direct debit scheme which charges interest but it's all paid for by November...ish and I can cope with the DD as it comes out of the bank without me actually seeing it so to speak.
My point is that having the season ticket means I don't have to worry about the mad rush for the big games but most of all the missus (and rest of em) know that on match days.........I'm at the match. So don't be planning any family 'get-togethers' expecting me there cos I'm a season ticket holder and have to support my team !!!!
Know what I mean ??

Depends on how many games you are going to. On current prices, if you assume the club does 2 games at a discounted price of £10 (which is assuming the Catalans one will be at the same price) then if you go to all the games you'll pay 11 at £17 and 2 at £10 = £207
The break even point is going to 11 games, 9 full price and 2 discounts, which means you will spend £173
If you are going to 10 games or fewer then cheaper to pay on the day.
However if we're drawn at home in the 4th round of the Challenge Cup and you want to go to that one then thats another free game if you have a season ticket, so if you bank on going to that then the break even point in SL is going to 10 games (7 full price and 2 discounts).
Factor in as well there's a 50% discount on Magic Weekend and discount on the replica shirt, shop merchandise etc, if you are going to be spending on the above then you will end up spending a lot more if you don't have a season ticket.
However if you just want to go to home games and won't go every week then if you are missing any more than 2 of the full price games then don't get a season ticket.

| The club are for once being sensible in offering reduced price tickets for the 3 games mentioned. I am a S stand season ticket holder & don't mind the club doing this for a number or reasons:-
1. The ground is a lot fuller (witness the Harlequinns game)
2. It will hopefully attract people who will come back again to pay full price say for the Bradford game.
3. Brings extra revenue into the club
