O Dear for Saints, but a excellent win for Hull.
Just wondering what excuses the Saints fans will come up for such a poor showing buy thet team.

Fitzbibbon was immense... Infact hull looked good all over the park tonight.

Very impressed by Hull tonight. Saints cannot rely on fog as an excuse, as it didn't bother Hull in the slightest. It would be great to see them keep this form.

There time is up .

Hull were impressive and i was even more impressed with the number 15... Leauki someone or other, however Saints are indeed on the decline. They will miss Long regardless of what other may think, the likes of Wellans, Cunningham and Fozzard are well past there best and Saints are only going one way and that's down.

I must add that there fans are very fickle booing Long, this is the player who has given the best part of his life to Saints and won them a countless number of games, shame on them.

Watch out for Hull very good team on paper if they get it together they will be very good.

Don't be daft. We booed Long when he played for us and it's all part of the relationship we have with him. We were being ironic. Or can't Wire fans grasp ironic?

I was there, at the match, so I know what we did.

I wish I hadn't been at the match! I could have had a few pints on what I paid to watch that load of old rubbish. I haven't seen Saints like that since the 1980s.

So you should be able to beat us this season. At last!



PS: Longy played very well tonight but his in-field kicking game was as unreliable as ever!

he kicked one direct into touch.... you chanted 'who are you'... he pointed to his name on his shirt... for the rest of the game his kicking was excellent.. he turned you around right near your own line many times.

maybe the mist obscured your view for those kicks......

I only saw the last the minutes and that was through a boozy haze so frankly the foggy picture on the telly just made me ill. In the bigger picture though Leeds and Saints both losing at home already emphasises two things; first that no one is unbeatable and secondly that unexpected results really do crop up in the early part of the season so I really hope our fans take that on board if tomorrow isn't the walkover a lot of them are probably assuming it will be.

The pi$$ poor ground could well be the reason we are in decline. If everything goes to plan we'll move into a nice new pad (Nicer than your's

) and will have a new coach (Harry/Brian is out of contract) and Jamie Lyon and about 7 other new signings. Could turn that corner well before we 'do a Bradford'. (Cunningham, Wellens, Gardner, Gidley, Meli, Fozzard, Fa'asavalu, Pryce I think are all OOC).

If not at least we'll have the memories

You're right about the coach and the ground but not the team. We had fewer 30+ players than Hull tonight. Given our injuries tonight, we will have half a team of youngsters next week. If anything, our team is more about potential up-and-comings than has-beens, which brings its own challenges.

However, the coach is ruining our play and the ground is ruining our bank account. We presume that the latter influenced the choice of the former.
