| Just wondering which one of them will be starting at LF this weekend?
Will Smith (not the actor) start Harrison at LF with Cooper, Wood, Solamona & Higham from the bench
or
Start V Anderson at LF with Wood, Solamona, Harrison & Higham from the bench - so using Harrison as a replacement prop.
Thoughts?

| Harrison by plenty. I can't believe Anderson (V) is still at Warrington, he's not up to it.

No chance, Louis was class last year. VA is too injury prone

| Shirt numbers seem to suggest TS will start with Ben H at Loose Forward. The fact that he's nicked Vinnies number shows how much Tony believes he is the number 13 for future. With Ben, Coops and Tyrone we've got the basis of a bloody good pack for the next ten years imo. All top quality.
Can only see Vinnie filling in the gaps for the rest of his time at the HJ. He did a great job for us at Wembley though. Can't think of that many backrowers who could fill in at 6 in a cup final and not look totally out of place. (Sinfield apart).

| Harrison without a doubt.
The more relevant question would be if Vinny would get in a fully fit 17, nevr mind starting at loose forward.

| Harrison for me too but I'd like us to sign a Loose Forward next year and play Harrison in the Second Row position.

| In the OPTA stats categories for Warrington in the Gillette Year Book for last season Vinnie makes the top 5 in 7 of the 9 categories (misses out on Try Assists and Tackle Busts) whilst coming top in two categories and only 6 tackles behind our top tackler for the season (Westwood).
All this suggests (especially as he always seemed to be injured) that he did actually have quite a good season last year for us and is perhaps not as prone to going hiding when there is hard work to do as our friends from Saints would have us believe.

I see VA being a very useful squad player and if he is the calibre of the player being kept out of the starting 13 things look good.

Which is exactly why I'd stick him at 11.
I just don't get it with Louis. Wont amount to anything more than mediocre imo

And as with a lot of your opinions that you share with us through-out these messageboards I think your opinion is rubbish.
But we are all allowed our opinion and that is mine.
Back to thread and for me going into the season the back row is Louis Anderson and Westwood as 2nd rows and Harrison at loose. Solomona is guaranteed one bench spot whilst Vinnie, McCarthy, Mitchell, Clarke, Grix and Blythe can fight it out for the other spot.

| Everyone's entitled to an opinion: they're just wrong.
I'm never wrong

More tries, Double the assists and a tiny fraction of the missed tackles that Louis lets walk through at second row. If you want to tighten up a leaking left edge, don't pick a guy that misses 69 tackles a season.
Thank you and good night.

| I used 2005 as thats a year I remember he played second row, inside Lyon iirc
Seens as the debate was regarding a second row place no point using stats from a season where he played mostly at 13 now is there.
Common sense people.
Like I said earlier Harrison should have 13 tied up for as long as he's at this club.
And he still fared better in 09, ESPECIALLY when he was in his brothers place, but statistically that's not really comparing like for like now is it. Louis won't be as good as Vinnie this year next or in 5, he just hasn't got it. If he worked hard and became a great player for this club i'd happily admit I was wrong, but I'm not and he's the reason for that shaky left edge. Defence wins games.
