Now that Greg's had his conviction would anyone like to see him in the P&B next year?

I think he's an excellent player, full of grit and determination. Would give us some more grunt thats for sure.

Personally no. He's had other problems and would still probably not get a Visa.

Its unlikely that Bird will continue his career at Les Catalans now his conviction has been quashed.

Surely the NRL or an English based SL team beckons for Mr Bird.

Would be great for the Super League if Catalans can keep hold of him, this is the type of import we need playing over here.

Why is it? Other than Leeds or Saints, possibly ourselves, he wouldn't be taking great strides 'up' in Super League. As good a player as he is, he wouldn't slot in to the Leeds midfield triangle and we seem to have Halfbacks falling out of our ears. Perhaps the most likely move of those three would come if Saints fancy another jailbird halfback?

People didn't see a lot of him because he was at Catalans.

He's a better 13 than 6 imo but he'd probably be the best 6 in the comp if asked to play there

You know when people talk about a player and say "he would only be here for the money", what do you reckon Bird's main motivation for coming to Warrington would be....

- the chance to play with an elite team and compete for the title
- boyhood ambition to wear the primrose and blue
- good climate and outdoor lifestyle in Warrington
- because he thought he could get a megabucks contract

Maybe he is the 13 we need to be the final part of jigsaw.

i must apologise about the comment it was rash and after reading what the judge presiding over the case had to say i accept that all bird did was grab her hand while she was holding a glass which caused said glass to accidentally end up in her face/eye socket

None of the comments surrounding that case seem to make any sense at all.

catalan had a different last 6 weeks at the end of the season as we did.

Bird dragged Catalans through that play off series kicking & screaming.

Maybe he would like to be commented on even more by caustic, savage witted, RLFANs critics who post in numbers disproportionate to their attendance

He could also do a bit of Door Work (are they now called Security Professionals) in the evenings.

He's got the right character.
