I just cannot understand why Wigan fans feel the need to slag off Myler and Warrington fans slag off Tomkins?

Why don't we just be thankful that in Tomkins, Eastmond and Myler we have three excellent half back prospects who will hopefully represent our country for the next 10-15 years?

For what it is worth I thought that Eastmond and Tomkins did well together on Saturday night and would expect them to be the half back pairing for the final.

Lets just get behind these young lads and stop the petty bickering that quite frankly has become very tedious.

I think you will find that most reasoned supporters would agree.

I have never doubted Myler as a player, I am chuffed he is English and hope to see him playing for England in the future, what I did doubt was Smiths selection of Myler based on his form etc.

Think Eastmond especially will be a superstar but i have to take my hat off to all the young lads who have brought a breath of fresh air to the team . I was pleased with the pride in the jumper & the passion & endeavour on display against NZ.As Walter said stop all the backbiting & take pleasure from watching all the players no matter who they play for at club level.

All three are excellent young prospects, and all three are now at clubs who will nurture that talent. There are no guarentees, one, two or even all three may fail to fulfill their promise, but I hope that the three of them spend the next 10-15 years battling over the two available international halfback places.

The obvious issue many fans have with Tompkins is his attitude. He is clearly a player that opposition fans love to hate but deep down would love to have him at their club. In that respect he is similar to many 'arrogant' and/or 'niggley' halfbacks in the past - Gregory, Edwards and Goulding immediately spring to mind.

I'm just chuffed that Tomkins will be at Wire before the next world cup.

No he won't, but Eastmond will.

Did anybody else notice that post match, Tomkins swapped his jersey with Thomas Leuleuai? Not only his own team mate, but his club half back partner! I wonder if they'll wear their swapped jerseys at training, or maybe even sign them for each other over Christmas dinner?

I think the minority of people who slag these young guys off just because they play for another side should shut up and be greatful we have 3 of the brightest prospects in the world playing their rugby in our country for our nation and hopefully for many more years to come...

Well we have kind of set you up as a cast-off club, so you could also be a feeder club at the same time I guess.
