rubbish, we got told in august quite clearly that the challenge cup would have been a total and complete sell out should saints and leeds have got there.

You can't seriously think that the GF would be half filled by supporters from each of the two competing teams? Wembley wasn't for sure.

Perhaps Leeds & Saints might at a push bring upto 15-20000 each and the rest is a balance from other RL fans. Maybe it's that people are also being asked to pay out for Four Nations tickets soon that's affected the uptake from the 'neutral' supporter, general apathy because it's the same 2 sides again, or the 'credit' crunch effect.

Tonight's attendance was rubbish...don't give me the credit crunch story...70k plus made the long trip to London for the 'two lesser lights'.

I was there tonight and two things stuck out to me. 1)The amount of spaces (row upon row of seats) in the Saints end. 2) A fair number of Leeds fans getting off a few mins before full time (Man United fan-esque).

It is a time for a change, the rest of SL need to aim up (including the Wire) because this top two dominance will kill our great game

Wembley wouldn't be big enough if Hull KR got to the Grand Final.

i go to Wembley every year no matter what as it is a weekend away with the boys and now most of us are married or living in sin its one of the only times that we get to have a good sesh together.

The Grand Final does not have the same appeal to me.

poor turnout when you think its on the door step of a lot of rugby towns. thinks its time for the rest of the super leagues to step up the mark and lets see if we can get 2 different teams there next year, hope we are one of them

At least when Wigan were winning everything, they did it with some variety, beating a different team in the CC final almost every year. During those dominant years, off the top of my head, they beat Cas, Hull, Widnes, Leeds, ourselves, Saints, Halifax...

Saints fans are sick of seeing their team lose in the GF, so don't bother going, nor do the neutrals want to pay to watch Leeds continue to beat Saints.

If a few other teams begin to lose to Leeds in the GF, maybe we could see an increase in interest and attendances. No doubt fans would be happy to see their team reach a final for a change and Old Trafford may sell out again.
