Well at least someone likes him.

Im a bit baffled about it only being a year, it suggests that either one or both parties aren't completely happy with Jimmy being here longer term.

I would imagine that Jimmy is probably looking at becoming the new Bulls boss in 12 months time when the current incumbant is released from his duties.

I think Jimmy will do a good job along side Tony. He perhaps wasn't ready for the main role but I believe he will learn alot from Tony and go on to be a regular Super League coach. I for one am Happy for him

The one year is probably his choice as he won't want to be second fiddle for ever and seems to me to be very ambitious...

This is great news.

For how many years have we been complaining about the lack of winners on our support staff, it was always Darby and Chambers good blokes but where's their medals.....

Finally we have someone on the backroom staff with more medals than Mr T

LOL. I thought that was jewelry rather than medals unless you are referring to his purple heart.

Unfortunately he also has the rugby league coaching ability and success of Mr T. Its a crazy appointment, he has failed in every coaching job he has done.

How has he 'failed in every coaching appointment'.

From what I remember he has basically had three coaching appointments:

- Salford assistant coach (Didn't Salford get 5th place in his first season, then he left half way through his second)
- Warrington assistant coach (Didn't Warrington win the Challenge Cup)
- Warrington head coach (flying start then it went to pot)

I don't doubt that he needs a longer apprenticeship before he gets a head coach job again but the clubs where he has been assistant coach have had a measure of success, how much of that is due to his input who knows but you can't say categorically he has failed.

Tony Smith seems to have a lot of faith in him and when they were a coaching duo together for Great Britain we beat the Kiwis 3-0.

Why?

Because we can do better! Most fans have lost faith in him ages ago.

When Smith was off on other duties & Lowes was left in charge we always put in a bad performance & got hammered.
