there seems too be alot of topics on here asking for various opening times of pubs.
I can vision wire fans drunk. Throwing up and causing trouble and putting the club in a negative light before the match even starts.
I'm all for having a drink and having a good time. But concerns arise when pubs are opening at 5.30am. 4 booze busses leaving crossfields at 7.
As i said i'm up for a drink and having a good day out. But i vision troubles and warrington as a town and a club will be put in a negative light.

I wouldn't guess many people would share these views. But these are mine.

i agree with this thread we all like a drink but seriously no need to be drinking at 6am and its only leading to trouble but aslong as my coach gets me to the ground by 1 30 ill be happy

Not at all. The OP has already started something up by drumming up support on other boards, and it's died on it's .

This thread is just a free pass for morons from other boards to come on spouting e against our fans and club.

ive certainly got no drinking concerns...downing my 1st one as soon as i get out of bed..

Get a grip. In 90 we drank pubs dry and the Wire end of Wembley. I for one started drinking very early back then and can remember all of the day( except for kipping on the way home). We lost and there was NO trouble.

I disagree with people drinkin that early in the morning but after the match is the right time to drink to celebrate (if we win!)

then again some people are entitled to get hammered on probably one of the best matches of their lives...

Can I add to this thread by saying that also you shouldn't give your kids too much fizzy pop either and check any food additives that you are giving them for 'e' numbers - We don't want them hyperactive during the big match now do we

I think you were too drunk to remember. There was loads of fighting in the Warrington end in 1990.

To this day I`ve not heard of any trouble bar a small scuffle in the coach park. Now as for Warrington Town V St Helens Town (which I believe at the time was the lowest crowd EVER to watch a final, 3000+) now that was a different story. IMHO maybe there could have been a little trouble if we had played Saints. but not against Hudds . Just hope that IF we get beat the young uns, and some old uns take it on the chin, so to speak

i was there for that f.a vase final..and there was trouble..warrington fighting with warrington fans cos there was only a handful of st`helens town fans there....cant see there being any lumber on sat tho

I'm with ya mate, girlfriend was put off going the final because of drunken incidents at the semi. A minority I should add but enough to ruin it for some people!

The impression i get from this post, is that your are heading to Wembley, already expecting the worst.

This is Warrington's biggest Match in years, and i trust our fans to have a good time and a few drinks. There will always be a minority who get plastered, but Saturday will not be any worse than any previous Final.

Bit of faith in our fans would be nice.
