Anyone remember the train-times for the 'Wire Flyer' (the 1st train the club laid on), It doesn't seem to be on the official web-site anymore.

(I think it was around 7:00am, getting into wembley at 12 noon).

It departs at 7.35 from warr bank quay and arrives in wembley at around 12.10.

Anyone still waiting to receive their tickets. I've tracked my booking and they are saying if I don't receive them by Wednesday this week to give them a call.......cutting it a bit fine

ring em today and hassle em, i've had three lots of tickets from the RoFL and they were received within 48 hours of each order.

Just telephoned SEE TICKETS again to be informed that due to a technical problem some tickets have not yet been printed, including mine.

They said that tickets are going to despatched and should be with me Wednesday by registered post.

Wouldn't mind, I rang for these tickets on Monday 10th August, over 2 weeks ago.

Mental to think that trains like that actually do exist.

Not quite as many since India converted to overhead electric lines.

In Sri Lanka a few years back, a train not dissimilarly laden approached the station where myself and wife were waiting to board.

She now claims she was joking, but she did turn to me and say, "Do you think we'll get a seat?"

Excellent. Reminds of the time on Xmas when Ceefax ran biblical stories as if they were real. My then girlfriend thought the 'King Herod' story was true and was suitably appalled. Also reminds me of another time when another female friend thought The Day Today's 'bomb dog' story was genuine.

i would'nt be surprised if this train does not run

1 how have they arranged the train to run with only 3 weeks notice
2 even the virgin trains can't make it into euston that day
3 where are they getting the loco and carriages from
4 which route is it taking to wembley

glad i'm going on the national express coach to london

1. There is probably enough rolling stock to make the charter
2. It'll go via Birmingham and leamington - around that way
3. surplus rolling stock used for charters
4. as 2, probably heading off another way near euston.

Went on the train from BQ last year and there was engineering works then.

We went to Birmingham then off towards Leamington Spa and Beaconsfield. Had to stop a few times to let the regular services through. It was diesel operated.

The only worry is that from Birmingham to Leamington it is only single track in each direction so if there is a train in front and it breaks down you are snookered.

Hopefully that won't happen and you have a good day. In 2007 I went on the train and had a great time with some lads from Warrington Wizzards and Bank Quay Bulls.

I travel on the west coast main line every day to work and back. Fantastic when everything is OK. But as soon as something goes wrong, disaster! Went to Euston twice last month in less tan two hours.

Would I go when engineering works are planned? no no no.
