Can you imagine the gloom if we lose at wembley and then miss out on the playoffs. At least huddersfield definitely have the playoffs to look forward to.

I'd say Wakefield is a must win game. I'd hate us to do what we did last year, win in middle of August and then not win another game for the rest of the year. Quins is looking the most likely out of the remaining game for us to gain another two points as their form seems to be very inconsistent, but I think any team will need 26 points to get into the play offs, leaving us two points short.

Anyone who thinks we will beat KR on their patch after our last game against them will have another thing coming.

we need 2 more wins to be in the top 8...wakey got a chance...hull kr.depends on them... can see us winning there they`ll be ensconced in the top 4..quins..they might need it..depends on others.if it comes down to points diff..theres 2 teams who defo wont make it

Why is anybody surprised, we are in this situation every year anyway, in 2006 and 2008 we scraped 6th, in 2004 and 2007 we missed out. This year we are in the Challenge Cup final, its been the best season in our recent history by a long way.

If certain other users had posted that it would have been branded as being a negative post by the likes of yourself.

I just had to laugh when i seen that given some of the slatings others have recieved for similar, for what its worth i think we showed our hand at Wigan as far as the top 8 is concerned with the squad for that was picked for that game, it doesn`t look like the top 8 is a priority now that we have made our first major final since 1990 and i agree with that stance if thats the case here given that the challenge cup is our most realistic chance of silverware.

Brough may well get a suspension after being sent off Sunday.

We need to beat Wakey and Quins to get in IMO. We owe Quins one and that could see us finish with positive points difference which could make all the difference.

Since the 'Quins away game, when TS took over, we have won 15 and lost 9 in SL and Cup (62.5% win ratio). Under Lowes we played 16 SL games with a record of 7 wins and 9 defeats, prior to Lowes in 2008 we played 16 games under Cullen and also won 7 and lost 9 (43.75% win ratios). Not bad considering taking over mid season and with basically the same squad (Mathers for Gleeson excluded) as his predecessors.

Looking beyond Wembley and a playoff place or not, I can't wait for next season after an off season of TS recruitment and a pre-season under him. Going into that season as reigning CC holders would be a huge bonus.

I hate to be negative, but apart from the 'bonus' of 1 or 2 extra matches for the fans to have to shell out for, and travel to, is there really any point to an 7th or 8th place finish??....There is no chance a team from these positions will win the competition, so I'd much rather sit back and allow some other also-rans to fill up Sky's TV schedules....

No point what so ever,just a waste of money if you ask me,dont mean to be a killjoy but what should happen is top of the league at end of season says saints,play second place in league say leeds,winner goes to old trafford loser plays third in league say hull kr,winner plays saints or leeds at old trafford,simple really..

As far as I am concerned that was a Smith team, but if you want to count it as Lowes then Smiths record is slightly better, Lowes worse.

There are 2 trophies to be won so who cares if we put all our eggs in one basket and concentrate on the cup final.
Win the final and who cares about the top 8.
Are we really gonna make a challange from 7th or 8th.

From 5/6th its POSSIBLE, especially if your first game is a Cats or Harlequins at home. 7th or 8th that extra away fixture would prove too much
