Thought he has had a shocker tonight. Would like to see how people on here could defend him? He has played at Widnes so gametime is not an issue.
Whilst he can't be on that much by getting rid of him and a few others will help get better quality replacements into the squad.
This is not a sour grapes thread, its a one of opinion. I didn't think we were going to win tonight looking at our team.

I can't believe this has started already, before the game has even finished. Some of you lot are like a dog with a bone, it's really quite sad.

Warrington have been soundly beaten all over the pitch tonight, Penny was responsible for some, so was Riley and so were plenty of other players. Penny has not been given enough opportunity tonight to honestly judge him.

thought he did alright at times. clearly alot of work to be done with him but i still have hope he will become a good player for wire

He did have a better second half to be fair.

Pennys not been bad to be honest, not that i've seen as a wigan fan anyway. He's not had a sniff of anything near the try line, and Riley has been worse, as has mathers.



Not many wigan fans want rid of gleeson, he's improved the right hand side of our team no end, and has just shown tonight that if he gets a bit of space he's on of the best.

Much rather have him than mathers, falling on his backside as Tommy ran at him.

not being a fan of stats myself thats another nail in their coffin for me...

He was far from the worst player on the Warrington side, in his first SL game back for a month.

Our wingers weren't exactly helped by playing two forwards in the centres.

There's not really anything to understand - it doesn't make any sense. A small band of Wire fans just have it in for Penny no matter how he plays.

this sums up the hatred for him on here and in the stands, he did all wrong tonight, didn't have any opportunities going forward and still gets a load of .

Jon Clarke wasn't playing so it's Penny's turn to take the blame.

Penny was okay, saved 3 certain tries for us....you're a knob though.

he has an ok game you cant use him as the scapegoat i thort there was lots of worse performances e.g blythe, mathers. However atleast mathers n penny looked up for the fight trying to get the team going despite 20points down were as alot of the team had lost hope n waiting for the final to come

he is like that every game, so enthusiastic.
