The Challenge Cup will be at Rylands from about 6.30 next Tuesday along with Wolfie and possibly a couple of players if anyone wants a photo.

Will there be a nice set-up for the cup? A board behind it with some kind of logo on it or something?

When I took the baby to the club shop for a picture with the SL trophy it was just shoved in the corner of the shop, merchandise on show behind. I was quite disappointed.

call me old fashioned but i don't wanna touch the cup before the final as this can sometimes be bad luck. I remember those AC Milan players touching the cup in 2005 and they lost.

Id prefer to see it with primrose & blue ribbons in the merry month of september

Went down to Rylands last night and the funniest thing was Brian Chambers turning up with the cup on the front seat of his fiat panda as if it was a regular occurance.

Think its at Woolston rovers tonight. No idea the time but my lad trains there and think its 6:30pm training, so presume the cup is there a bit earlier.

Its only a replica cup anyways.

i was just coming out of the club shop on monday with my little lad when wolfie arrived with the challenge cup sat in the back of a convertable bmw.
whipped out my phone and took a picture,he was nearly as made up as me!

The "real thing" is also a replica, the "real thing" is so decrepid that if you tough it the figures fall of it, think they are held on with blue tac. Not sure they let the original out of its wood/glass case anymore its that fragile.

It was the goons who did the damage they had it kept in a vat of beans in the heinz factory for 9 years, totaly ruined its molecular structure... we just threw it around a few pubs in sintellins, same as the SL trophy, luckily the SL trophy was easy to fix, but the CC was ermmmm a bit costly

I'm with you there. I don't see the point of touching or having a photo taken with a cup unless you've won it.
