With a recognised half back on Saturday, we had a chance. We cannot expect forwards to provide creative input - with a tight game we need a specialist to exploit situations, as did saints
Whether it is Myler or Briers is not the issue, it must be a specialist 6 or 7

| My husband was told by his contact within the wolves camp that Myler will be a wolves player in 2010. It will be announced as soon as Salfords 2009 season is effectively over.
The source is the same one that told my husband on Saturday morning that Morley was out of the saints game with an injured knee and that he is also doubt for the cup semi final. If he plays in the semi it is likely that he wont be 100%. I did post it on here but the post was swiftly deleted for some reason.
It looks like Smith will have Myler at 7, Briers at 6 and Monaghan at 9 in 2010. Now that does excite me  |

As for Myler it is a done deal although I doubt anything will be officially announced til the end of the season as its only fair to all parties. |

I would say clarke would be at loose or second row. With higham and monas rotating at 9. Clarke can also cover the halves and the hooker position so it is looking good for next year

Not a swipe at all. just the reality is that we need myler as an option, even if just to cover for briers or monaghan when either is injured. sorry, but putting grix or clarke in the half back position is just not good enough. saints could pop in eastmond and that's why they are streets ahead of us now. we need myler just to keep the gap the same between us and saints. with eastmond they move further ahead of us. he reminds me of a young jason robinson. by getting myler we would just be stopping them pulling further ahead. compare our team with theirs man for man. how many of our players would get into their team? that would be a good test of how far behind we are, and perhaps the lead topic for another post.
