Who balances it out? Refs? Are you suggesting refs give decisions to 'balance things out'?

I'd like to see the way it is used to changed to a challenge system like in the NFL and tennis.

Ref makes his call as he sees it, teams allowed 2 challenges per half, and if inconclusive, then revert to on field call.

Half of the decisions that get sent to the video ref aren't needed, both sets of players reactions tell you know they the outcome before the first replay appears on the big screen - sometimes you get both sides set for a scrum before the video ref has given his decision.

I agree. I thought Andy Wilson's rant about the 'playing by the same rules' argument was spot on. As long as the two teams playing each other have the same conditions then it is fine.

Who is to say that you are advantaged or disadvantaged by having a VR at the game?

That said, the figure of £40k per club per year didn't seem massive, I wonder if that was for the basic version (4 or 5 cameras as tested last year at Hull vs KR)?

That doesn't make sense. It would cost too much money for a limited tv referal system which may not prove beyond all doubt on a number of decisions. I don't think it would be money well spent, we need to keep ever penny in rl we can get.

To suggest that the tv ref be removed from televised games is madness. could you imagine the controvesy ever week (like football)
