Our back three are pretty solid at the moment, I'd be gutted if Carney played just for the sake of it. None of them deserve to be dropped.

Theres no need to drop anybody at the moment, not when our three quarters are playing so consistently. If Carney outperforms any of the others in training, then so be it. But other than that I wouldn't drop anyone ATM.

I think most players carry some kind of injury or knock at this point of the season so mr smith may take the chance to rest one of the backs and get carney up to speed and in some kind of form.Did mathers train only for couple of weeks with us then get a run out?how many games have we lost with mathers in the team?

We have only lost 1 since Mathers joined the team,has to be the best deal we have ever made lets hope carney has the same impact probably at the sacrifice of Riley but even though he has played well in recent time I still get worried at the way he dangles the ball in front of him just as he is going to get tackled and he then gets it knocked out, well on 3 or 4 occasions but they have all led to us conceding tries ,it is the only reason I think he can be faulted on, apart from that he has been outstanding ! |

it was first time he got the ball knocked out his hands since he moved to the wing in my memory which is a huge improvement since he was dropping it quite regularly. Wouldn't like to see Riley dropped as he is the quickest in the team but if Carney is better then TS will have to play him |

Maybe not the best deal ever but it's certainly the best bit of business the club has done for a while maybe even in SL times. Gleeson isn't setting the JJB alight with his knock ons and passes to the touch judge but Mathers has had a great impact at the wire. |
