They've mentioned the groundskeepers have left it slightly longer to protect the pitch as 7 games in one weekend is an awful lot of wear and tear. Plus Murrayfield is hosting 2 other big sporting events this month so I suppose they've got to keep it in good nick for all of them.

I POSTED this pror to going to murryfield after watching the first day on t.v.
after attending on the second day i still feel the grass was too long, i understand this was to save the pitch.

we lost because we missed lee briers' kicking game, i remember at least 4 occasions when on the last tackle we kicked straight down the full backs throat rather than touch, that and poor discipline/ refereeing ie. too many penalties (some thing we didn't give away last week or the week before)that's what cost us the game.....not the grass

Yeah. It seemed shorter on the Sunday, so I wonder whether they left it long on the Saturday on purpose to protect it and then cut it on Sunday morning.
