| i reckon there are quite a lot of parallels between tony smith and brian noble, the playing styles are different perhaps but the coaching record is similar
do you think tony smith will do better for us than noble has done for wigan? do you think this board will end up having similar attitude to smith as wigan board have to noble?
would we be happy if smith mirrors what noble has managed at wigan? 6th 4th and a couple of semi finals?

Who cares what this board thinks, unless you mean the Board of Directors.
No, 6th, 4th and a couple of semi finals would be disappointing.

I think this is an interesting post. Noble was at the top of his game when he joined Wigan and perhaps the fans were expecting more than the steady progression he has given them, rightly or wrongly.
As I have mentioned before I think that Smith's and Warrington's fortunes are intertwined. Turn us around and his stock in RL will be sky high, and I think a top NRL job awaits. Fail and it will compound the damage that the World Cup caused him and blot his CV. For what it's worth I think he will be a resounding success with us, I just hope we can hold onto him if he is.

| I can see Smith walking out if things are as bad as the jungle drums suggest.
You often find people lured into jobs with promises of gold but when they get there its not as was advertised.
I suppose time will ultimately tell.

| tony smith created a team at leeds which played great attacking rugby, brian noble had a team of 13 giants trundle it up the middle for 4 sets then a kick. both have been successful but i know who's type of rugby i want to watch.

Maybe we should have offered the job to Noble then?
In seriousness I think you do Noble a little dis-service. Bradford were awesome at their peak and the trophy cabinet confirms it.

| Daft as it sounds at the minute, and I'm half cringing writing it, but we're probably about two or three pieces of quality Smith recruitment away from being a decent side, if you get me.
Loads will change at the end of the season, we know that, but say it didn't and only Monas & Briers left, and say I dunno, for example Orford & Myler/AN Other came in, you'd be happy with that really.

i never doubted that they were successful but i would rather not watch that style of play,i didn't find it awesome with the exception of the odd big les 50 yarder.
it was unattractive and boring to watch, that is my opinion.

you are completely right, half backs need sorting and a new strike player in the backs and we are nearly there.

I would like to see an addition of a quality ball playing LF too if I am being honest.
New signings for 3, 4, 6, 7, 13
