This season is getting surreal. It has just felt like a revolving door, with players coming, going or suddenly becoming out of favour and being discarded. The atmosphere in and around the team must be very strange. It feels like it's either going to make or break us, in the long run.

Yes, I tend to agree.
It seemed obvious to me that when DP came in he'd want to make changes and some players would fall out of favour - it's not uncommon, although I don't think Saints seem to have this problem - so I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things pan out.
Those changes were always going to cause upset, but allied to the losses it hits the squads' confidence.

Perhaps our forward planning is to be the strongest team in the Championship ,then the HJ can be touted as an ideal development opportunity while we play at Vicky Park.

There is a very strong rumour that Ratchford has signed a new contract with Wire.

He is not a young player, requiring game time to improve his skills and is playing regular 1st team Rugby League here.

If rumours are to be believed Charnley will be at Leigh next year subject to promotion. I can’t see them having cap space to take him early though, although we would accommodate.

If I was to take a punt at next one out of the door, I’d go with Davis. Probably the most likely to find a club in other championship.

Ratchford is rumoured to have signed a 12 month extension, which makes sense as I think Powell sees him as a positive influence and also a huge utility value (at the right price). He’ll no doubt be expected to provide some guidance to the backs too.

They were showing some interest, but I am not aware that he has signed up for them yet?

Given the way their two wingers played last night, which I saw on TV, they don`t need him.

Good question, I wonder whether KFP made one of his magic. Bean signings and Powell never fancied him. Or whether Powell got it wrong?

Injury made it difficult for magoulias but it wasn't a great signing, he leaves without making a single contribution for his already small highlight reel.

Seeing that he has been a poor signing ,surely Steve Price will be blamed for recruiting Magoulias.

That would be something for Powell and Karl to work out. I assume it would be something less than what he's on now, per annum? I don't think we'd pay him the same if it means sacrificing some of the cap that may be needed for contingency signings?

I'm trying to forget about Steve price to be honest. We have been that bad we have fans pining for price and jack Hughes! This is the pits.

Magoulias was signed at the end of October, so Powell would have been involved in the signing.

I think people are jumping to the conclusion that we have got rid based on his performance/ attitude,, seems more like to me this was Magoulias’ decision, but maybe we’ll hear more on that score further down the track.

Yeah be interesting to know what's gone on here. If he and his Mrs are expecting a first child then I hope everything is OK there for them and wish them all the best with the family. If that is the case then fair play to him and the club for not dragging this out with a player who doesn't want to be here because they haven't settled or need to be closer to family. Speculation I know but I'd rather players who don't want to be with us for whatever reason left sooner than later.
