Too many times in my 40odd years of watching, I've seen a "heroic defeat" (still a defeat), being followed up by absolute tripe. Next week is crucial to our season. Wigan are no great shakes, as are the rest of SL. Lose that, and last night's effort might as well've been a 20odd point thrashing.

The players have shown some gumption, which has been missing since April. We expect nothing less than 100% effort each week. Wether we get it, is another matter.

Surely even you (as one of his defenders.....I wish we had some on the pitch in the second half) can see this.

But people dont want a sacking for no reason. They want their club to be better and competitive when its obvious the incumbent cant deliver. They want the dismal results to end.

Something should really change in the ruck. I'm tired of hearing the referee blaming the player with ball in hand for not being able to play the damn thing. "You're moving forward!" Yeah, because they're trying to get the sod clinging to them off long enough to play the game! If a player is writhing on the floor so much they move 5 metres forward, it's because the defender on top of them has been there beyond warranted time. It's ridiculous.
