Alfie Langer was a class act. The difference here is that the players we have now are on a similar wavelength to Sandow.

When Alfie was here he was at least 2 plays in front of everyone. Really thinking back, it must have been awful for him playing for us at that time.

Please Chris, please please please replicate or even better last weeks performance this Friday and tear Widnes a new one especially for the old fart I just had the displeasure of chatting to in Tesco in Widnes. Apparently he (Chris Sandow, not the old fart) is slow, fat, unfit, over-rated and only here for the money (actually, the first three do apply to the old fart). He has only looked 'not bad' because he hasn't come up against quality opposition yet, but apparently that will change on Friday when he will be shown to be slow, fat, unfit, over-rated and only here for the money. We (Wire fans) are two faced as we hated him last season chanting 'What a waste of money' and we were offering to pay for his flight back home.

He had just bought his ticket for Friday and is making his first trip to Wire since we moved to the Halliwell Jones. Please Chris, make it an extra special day, just for him!

Well what would you expect from a fan of a team who fans most dont like the wire?

Don't get me wrong I think sandow is a class act but he will be up against a team who are in form and have had most 'experts' putting them down as only beating teams who have injury problems,for me it's gidley who is the orchestrator,as long as he's fit you lot will be up near the top and imo you will make the GF

It will be a fantastic game with both teams in form just hope that we contain sandow as if we don't it will be a long day

Dennis Betts has done a fantastic job of getting the best out of some very average players, but that bubble bursts on Friday. They're bottom 8 standard on a confidence drive.

Again...Wire fans have never panned Sandow...bloody Aus media.

Sandow won't be world class when you're up against it and does his best turnstile impression. Gifted in attack but useless when it comes to the punch. Don't think he's ever played in a semi-final so that might come back to haunt you.

Indeed, if only if he could show us how he responds under pressure, maybe a 40m drop goal under intense pressure after the sound of the hooter had gone?

I posted this topic after what i saw with my own eyes, just a simple fan, a layman of the game nothing special, never coached, played amateur up until my biscuit shoulder told me that paying my mortgage was easier when i could actually earn money not being off sick.
Other such fans of varying knowledge and intellect also posted, all pretty much in agreement on just how good he was.
But what do the fans know eh?

Then i started to listen to the players and coaches and ex player and coaches, i watched the programmes and read the articles and they all said the same thing.

Sandow was unplayable. Cas were garbage because we made them look garbage, we tore holes in them due to phenomenal play, generally orchestrated by Chris Sandow.

Would i swap him for Kev Brown (who i rate btw)...not a chance.

Some Leeds prick on the saints board was saying this yesterday, he goes missing when hus pack is beaten.

Can't defend..goes hiding behind a beaten pack...fat, unfit, lazy, inconsistent, mercenary. All straws being clutched at. He's been consistent enough to be brilliant for six games on the bounce. Every single super league team would want him...any fan saying otherwise is lying...or very stupid.

I saw that, Sandow did nothing in the first two games, despite scoring one try and setting up our only other (match winning) try against Leeds.

It's funny how many times people hang our late season performances last year on Sandow. Because he came over with all that media attention and cost more than most, I think other teams support expected him to single handedly win us the GF. Fact is he came over having been let go from his last team with bad blood and being panned by the Aussie press and he joined a team dead in the water with no cohesion and maybe a handful of decent attacking sets all year. I guess it's easier to keep banging on about last season than to eat your own words (to be fair: there's a lot of them to eat...)

Despite most the fear the OP is showing in his post, The main thing I'm laughing at is how he said he can't post this on our board because of how intolerant we are ha ha ha..

Don't buy the bit about buying Jordan Cox making us a team unable to win anything, yet the team that bought Willie Isa are the clear favourites.

There's a difference between our signings of prospects such as Cox, Russell and Hughes over the past few years, and picking up the scraps of Wakefield and Widnes for Tautai and Isa, both of who and bang average.

It does not matter to me in the slightest what others think about our team or players. It's results on the field that matter. Remember we have form at this ourselves when we bag quality players of other sides, no surprise when we get it back.

We're in one of them situation's we've seen with other teams, when saints first got walsh, leeds got ben walker, lauititi and brent webb, hull got jason smith where you look at them and go WOW, they've picked up a player who genuinely changes the game and as a fan, you're concerned about how your team can possibly contain them.

Sandow is that sort of player, he's a game changer, potentially a power shifter.

Don't get it. The topic is largely in favour of us.

People talking about Chris Sandow's inconsistency are just latching on to AUS media, it's not based on actual opinion - it cant be.

Finally, to be fair, I think our most of our own opinions of Cox before he arrived was a bit puzzling so no surprise other fans think this too. He's surprised us all.
