Gash, Hill has shone alone all season. Some kids have showed promise but what a really disappointing end to a poor season.

What a difference a year makes. If he left with his brother last year he'd go down as a legend (he still will I guess) but he's just been out of step this year. All the knocks and bumps just catching up I fear. He doesn't deserve some of the flack he's getting in my book.

Poor Wire performance, average Cas performance, abysmal officiating performance and Sky needs as big a reshuffle as we do.

Those situations that went in favour of Warrington could have easily been converted to points just happens that Warrington didn't capitalise on top of cas not having an opportunity to score off the foot in touch.

Disallowed try was touch and go whether atkins touches it on to the cas player, he certainly played it. I fancy if it was the other way round you'd be less certain it was incompetent.

Can't blame the ref when we had all the ball and all the territory and still never looked like scoring. Our season in 80 minutes. Mostly rubbish, a brief glimour of hope, ultimate inevitable disappointment. Admit it, when we equalised you knew we were going to lose.

If you can't tell on 2 or 3 views, then it simply isn't conclusive. If you have to look 10-12-15 times from all sorts of angles and use 'super-zoom' then there is no way you can overturn the on field referees decision. That's twice in two weeks

Re the video ref - what you have said is the point - touch and go so it must go with on pitch decision. I didn't even think it was touch and go - Atkins caught it with his left hand first and it went back.

Exactly. Try on the field is given absolutely no evidence to overturn it and yet no try just very very weird. I'm not quibbling about the loss as we were poo but that decision along with the Evans' perfectly good try and atkins' ball steal were killers. If someone can genuinely tell me what atkins was penalized for then fair play. Plus I'll have a pop at sandow for his huge missed conversion

You can't only call bad decisions out just when a team scores in that set (not same play) Warrington could have well scored off forward passes but couldn't convert, doesn't make one decision worse than the other.

True. But done out of two tries that win the game. Had enough chances to win but poor officiating full stop. Thaler is in the PERFECT position to give mylers try yet goes upstairs. If I were his boss I'd rag him in on Monday and say 'if you can't decide on that Ben then you're not fit to referee'

I would be having words with the video ref first - he gets to spend 2 minutes watching replays and still he can't make the right call.

I'd send all the referees a dictionary and ask them to look up the word 'conclusive'.

If they are doing that they may as well stop at competent before they get to conclusive.

Thought you were unlucky with the Penny no try, there may have been a knock on by Atkins but I didn't think there was conclusive proof to overturn the on-field decision. I was surprised when it was disallowed.
I though both sides could claim decisions went against them. Cas kicked a perfectly good 40-20 and the touch judge clearly missed Ratchford having his foot on the line when he knocked it back into the field. There were also two clear forward passes, one in the build up to a Warrington try. At times, both teams were their own worst enemies, particularly giving away stupid penalties at really bad times (Westwood ball steal, Ratchford dragging after the tackle).
Ultimately, Warrington had enough chances to win the game but weren't quite smooth enough near the line. I couldn't believe the number of passes thrown into the crowd.
Game could have gone either way in the fina 10 minutes. On this occassion it went Cas' way.

I think it was more the stupidity of conceding a further 10m for arguing rather than the actual penalty, which looked like a ball steal to me but I haven't seen it again on TV.
Ratchford clearly dragged after completing a tackle, even if the player surrenders he cannot drag after completing the tackle.

Both teams were poor. It was a generally poor game.

We did have a perfectly good try disallowed, I'd also like to see the Evans try because from the one replay I've seen it didn't look forward from Ratch, and how on Earth was that not a two-man strip on Clark that set up their winning DG?! That last one was a farce of a decision.

But good luck to Cas for the rest of the season, they're the only team above us I don't mind.

Stupid yes but when you should be packing down for a scrum on the opponents 10m line but are instead running back to halfway you can understand the frustration.
