| Best side won.
Ref was tosh for both sides, and spoiled what could have been a great 1st half, instead it was a Penalty fest. It should've been nipped in the bud, with a sinbinning. Infringements soon stop.
As a whole, I don't think we'd've won, if we stayed there all night. We simply are void of ideas. Our halves simply pass the ball. Nothing else. No ideas, creativity. Just meaningless distribution. Poor, really.
If we get to Wembley/have a decent end of season run in, I'll take it. A trophy would be a massive plus. After Cas, next week, any wins are a bonus.
Roll on new halves.

I'm hoping that if we can't get Sandow that we don't make Wembley.
I can't face watching us lose to Sts there.

Sheesh. You are the most pessimistic person on here.
Firstly we will get to Wembley, Leeds will beat Skints and we may well then beat them as we have beat them twice already this season.

If Masoe really wanted to injure someone they'd be leaving the pitch for intensive care. The guy is a freak. I used to think Kevin Ward was a giant prop. But even Wardy would have his hands full stopping Masoe from hurting him if he were so inclined.

That I don't deny.
We beat a team that rested Sinfield and Burrow through much of the game and I think they were beat in 6 of the last 8 they played in inc and following us.

| It may as well have been....did you not see his reaction when they scored it? You'd have thought he scored it himself. I was half expecting him to run onto the pitch and take all the credit like a David May.

| I think lefty has hit the proverbial on the head, our halves were appalling again. Simple as, full-stop,end-of, and I think we've all now concluded we won't progress until we've replaced one or both of our current HBs. Any thought that Myler was going to go out with a bang appears to have been answered with an anonymous display even by his light touch standards. Lord Lucan was on the ball more second half, so the arrival of a half-back (and I'd happily take any half-back just to see a change in personnel) is way, way overdue and can't come soon enough.
Elsewhere, business as usual, everyone did what I expected and no more, which depending on who you're thinking of is a good or a bad thing.
One final point re. Masoe, or whatever the puddings called. The bloke is a playground thug - aiming theatrical punches at half-backs might endear you to people who used to enjoy watching Roy Haggerty and Paul Forber doing their "stuff" but it doesn't make you an enforcer. Walmsley is twice the player, but doesn't play the fat panto villain card so well.

| Enjoyable game to watch. Despite losing unluckily, Wire can beat anyone on their day.
That said, I think over a season you will come up short against the 'big 3'.
And what were those weird hand signals all about from Tony Smith just after St Helens scored their winning try????

For the record, Penny was about 2 yards offside at the play the ball before his interception try.'"
The ball was played and on the ground for awhile Walsh picked it up stepped Philbin, we are now well into broken play he passes to Penny how is Penny offside?
It was a great game with defences on top Saints making less errors and the more patient, after the Penny try Wire should have took the game on but credit to Saints, I don't think I can knock anyone's effort they all gave 100% they worked the ball about well for good spells leading up to disallowed tries/held up so something for Smith to work on.
O'Brien did well calling and getting Curry in Myler was unlucky with a few half breaks and they did move the ball across well I thought they had good games, Walsh and Burns played well but for all their efforts in the first half all Saints got was the Roby try.

You actually think the ball was stolen there? Seriously??
As for what Masoe did... Does anybody [uREALLY[/u think that was a punch? He raised his arm which made it look a bit pantomimey, yes, but he was clearly just trying to get more momentum behind him when he slammed down in the tackle. Which is kind of harsh, yeah, but certainly not illegal as far as I'm aware and certainly not worthy of a sending off as some people have LAUGHABLY suggested. A punch?! xD Yeah, he deffo went to punch the back of his own man
Can you not at least lose with some dignity? Geez. It was a really good game and with some more composure, you quite easily could have won it. If the rumours are true about you getting a halfback before the deadline, you could easily sneak into that top 4 for the play-offs and then anything can happen. It's not all doom and gloom!

| Well he punched his own man in the back then. Should that still go unpunished? If Westwood head butts Sims should that go unpunished? I don't know so I'm asking. Is smacking your own players fair game?

My point is that it wasn't a punch and anybody who thinks it is should probably take whatever colour-tinted specs they're wearing and actually think it through. Who was he attempting to punch exactly? There was certainly not a wire player in the vicinity of his arm!

| I don't know if he did or didn't. I just saw his arm go up bent at the elbow and a fist come down. I could see who he hit of if he hit. It just looked to me like he punched. I can't think of any reason he would make that particular move?!

| I have only seen it once at the match ,it wasn't shown on the highlights programme ,but if that wasn't an intended punch then Masoe needs to get medical treatment for his involuntary arm movements.

The last time we had a 'big 4' was when Bradford were up there as a major force. A club that had Grand Final and World Club Challenge wins to their name.
Warrington are just not an 'elite' club.
And I support none of Wigan,St Helens or Leeds. There's no way Wire even remotely compare to those three 'elite' clubs.

| I remember Bradford having the strongest team in the league when they were firmly at the foot of the RFL & propping up the rest of the league. The recent resurgence in Bradford fortunes was instigated by sky for the formation of superleague.

I'm quite suprised Warrington fans can be so dismissive of Bradford.
A club who in the history of RL have been champions more times than you and have been several time World Club Champions, something Wire could only dream of being.
