Leigh looked more comfortable spreading the ball than we do. I quite like the way they play the game - (Big Bash weekend aside, not sure what hock or Fui Fui are offering them that ANO props would add, for far less.) I hope they get a shot at SL, the way they have dominated the championship means they deserve a shot.

They need to get used to the intensity SL can throw at them, we dominated for 20 mins or so at the start of the second half, the likes of salford, widnes, hull KR, even ourselves if we end up in the middle 8's will be throwing that at them. Even Wakey areal strengthening for the 8's.

They are good, but I think they will need to be SL standard for 7 weeks to make it through. They need to get better I think.

I thought we were ok today. I've given up thinking we are a top 4 side that should be blowing a team like Leigh away. Hill, Sims, Westwood and dare I say it Asotasi were all good today - our pack won it for us.

Leigh need an improved forward pack.

With a bigger budget next year if they get a couple top class props and second rower who as real SL/NRL fitness then they'll be even more dangerous.
We're not a top side but fitness was a factor.
Having said that even though we were really tearing it up in the 2nd half we looked vulnerable every time Leigh got the ball out wide.
And Brierley is faster than anyone we've got.

Ratch is copping a bit of flak for his defence and positioning, I'm gonna give him a pass as he was out there on one leg and wasn't going to be playing at one point.

Great turnout by the Leigh fans, about 4k. NO SL side bring that many to the HJ. It made for a decent CC attendance (and atmosphere) for a change.

I haven't even watched it back yet, but thoughts from the day are that it was alarming how much ground Leigh were making on their sets of six & i am very surprised we managed to stick with their speed for most of the game. It was a concern that Leigh scored so many points but we did manage to outscore them. I suppose we can take heart from the way Saints in the past won much silverware with a poor defence by outscoring their opponents,we just need to do the same.

I thought that was fairly meagre fare for a starving Wire fan. Yes, we had some tasty morsels; great try from Penny, good goal kicking from GOB and much needed injection of pace and energy from young Dwyer. Hill as usual led the pack and Simms looked good against their pack, but after that I started to run out of positives. Even worse, the Leigh backs gave me an unwelcome reminder of what we were like back in 2011/12 when we threw the ball around with abandon and scored tries for fun. Worryingly we seem to have more injured players than a Syrian general hospital. The bloke I was standing next to said he was convinced that Ratch was injured, and he certainly struggled for pace throughout. Bridge and Joel ( who I thought might have been rested by Smith for the Thursday game) are apparently out for several weeks, and then of course we lost Laithwaite for the rest of the season. It is going to be very difficult to stay out of the bottom four, and we are a long way from our 'mark' of a top four club.

Ratchford indeed only just made it not training all week a sign of the magnitude of the injury list, otherwise he would not of played, Mona's four weeks or so Bridge still waiting for results, WA Guardian, I really feel for Laithwaite as he's been showing steady progress, a bad injury but he's still young.

I think he's convinced we will meet again this season.

It was Clarks worst performance he is deffo carrying an injury you can see it.

Clark is always going to draw attention because he is a threat. He is doing okay though, he is often behind a beaten pack.
No complaints from me as he is not to blame for the lack of depth in heavy forwards.
