Feel for Richie as he is a whole hearted player, who unfortunately plays in a position where if he makes a mistake 9 out of 10 times we get punished. Lets not forget about the contribution he made in us winning the Challenge Cup last year. You can see he has the passion and desire to play for Warrington. He is a good organiser and very popular with the fans.
My thoughts are that we need a goal kicker and that if you look at who could come into the team, who would you change to accommodate this player? First of all we have to look at who is available and if that player offers more than the current contracted player. My thoughts are that Tony Smith feels we need a recognised kicker and that's where Hodgeson would probably get the vote over Mathers.

I agree. Strategically for the club this is bad as it discloses our hand and personally I think this public announcement does him little advantage.

Its bound to have a knock-on affect on the players some how.

I don't think anybody's hand has been disclosed, but it is clear that the rumours are getting to the player.

Simple Solution, ban all rumours. does no good to the club or players, all they seem to do is undermine the team and playing squad. then the threads deteriate into free for all rumour mill which get more ridiculouse as the thread goes on and ends up getting locked anyway. why not lock them sooner
