Part of the Challenge Cup is the fact that it can be won by any team, you will always get one sided scores when Championship teams meet SL teams . But you will occasionally get results where the underdog beats a big club.
That's what so good about the Cup.

You can't change the cup format. Unless you take the SL teams and the finalists from last year's Championship and start in the quarters straight away. And what's the point in that?

For the lower league clubs, getting this far will give them a good payout which potentially could pay their wages for a full year. Also for the players it gives them the chance to play against the best in the country. I'd love for me and 16 mates to play Wire. Yes we'd get dicked, but I'd love the opportunity to face them.

I disagreed with the playing our squad players is disrespectful to Swinton but saying that the format should be changed effectively removing them from the cup IS disrespectful as they are still an RL team at the end of the day.

You would have to score at least 6 straight from the KO to get all 26 into 80 minutes. 20 is one every 4 minutes, so with the time for conversions and re-starts I'm surprised that there was time for Blackpool to score as well.

I am sad I know but I have just trawled through and added up every single point that we have scored in every single SL game since the year 2000 and compared that with the points we have scored in SL this year.

Since the 2000 we have scored an average of 25 points per game, this season although its not finished we have scored an average of 37 points per game. That means we have scored an average of 2 converted trys more this season than in the past 10 seasons.

Last season which was our best for years in the league we scored an average of 32 points per game, whilst we conceded an average of 18 points per game. Whereas this year we have conceded an average of 14 points per game

Like I said I know I am sad.
