| Browny moving briers out of then club for fresh ideas and experience doesn't make sense, Briers will get fresh ideas and a different experience by staying at wire, certainly for the next season or 2 anyway. Perhaps then he will need to move on to further his career. He should be out of his comfort zone anyway, he has to impress the new coach and assistant.
I'm very happy with the appointment of Andrew Henderson, more reason to feel optimistic. I'm starting to feel hopeful of a decent playing roster and certainly better performances.

I don't know the 'ins and outs' of how these things work, but, if he clears off to Australia before his two years is up then I can't see him going back to a top job, unless of course he get's off to a flyer and pulls of the big one!!
After all his stint here is a relatively short one and I presume him taking it was to back himself to (re)build his reputation. Failure, or not hacking it here won't do him much good in that regard.

He has the England Academy gig, so presumably someone has seen something in him. Its far too early to be writing off his coaching career at this stage.
That said, I think he needs to do a few years at Warrington, a couple somewhere else as an assistant, then look for a Championship side Head coach position. I'm not too keen on appointing Head Coaches who have only built experience in one environment - an environment of comfort at that.
Happy for Briers to stay as a member of the coaching staff, as he develops his career and possibly moves on to other things as he gains experience.

| If your a new guy coming into lead an existing group in a new environment, you absolutely need someone whos witnessed what's gone on in the past. Trust me I know as I've done it. Outside in its easy to think a complete refresh of the leadership team is best, but that's not necessarily the best route forward.

| So he is coming over on the 27th of this month and his priority is a half back from what I have read, would like to think he is talking to players while he is still over there.

| I think that the consensus is that Henderson is a decent appointment as far as assistant is concerned. Does anyone know whether Price and Henderson have any previous involvement with each other, was Henderson primarily Price's or the club's pick?

Cronulla played an exhibition game against the London Broncos ahead of the World Club Challenge. Would have helped how close Broncos were to beating Warrington in middle 8's also.

So whilst it may prove to be a successful combination, there isn't any evidence that Henderson is Price's man. If anything it points more to a bit of succession planning by the club, the two year deal also got me thinking that this may be the case, a question of both of them in the shop window.
Is a two year deal long enough whatever happens next year will still be heavily influenced or perhaps more correctly assessed from the point of view of Smith and Agar?
I suppose by midway through 2019 we will have an idea how well this regime are doing

For clarity it wasn't a moan and I'm not unhappy just wondered if the pair of them had history and what was the reasoning behind putting this new team together

I don't think they have. My guess is the club told Price they thought Henderson would be a good fit, Price and Henderson would have had a chat - hopefully in the end Price awas given the final say. KF did suggest Price would be given licence to select his back room team, doesn't mean the club can't throw names in the hat. You would think any Assistant would have to be UK based so Price would need some guidance on possible options.
