To be fair ,the break made by Bridge wasn't helped by the 2 support players going the wrong side of him otherwise something might have come from the move .

Totally agree, but, looking at the thread title in perhaps its most narrow sense, then there must surely be more to be taken from a game like Monday's, two decent outfits going at it, rather than some of the cricket scores we ran in last year?

Great though they are on the day, it's no good for our sport longer term, watching one sided games. For example the big score we ran in at the Willows in the sunshine last year was quite boring and I live in Salford and was stood with pals supporting the home side so had the biggest grin (how I had the smile wiped off my face this year).

If the poster got that impression from that game he got that impression, performances after the event doesn't change what happened in the earlier game, shame, as we won yesterday we could retrospectively be awarded the points against Salford.

No, it does change his impression he got at an earlier game. It might mean he was wrong though, particularly having given an opinion that someone could play to a high standard anymore when they demonstrably could.

Yes. His impression was that Bridge amd Hodgson were finished as players. They aren't finished as players as yesterday proved. Therefore he is wrong. That's the problem with offering such a final opinion or 'impression' - you leave yourself open to being proved wrong.

Well to be fair you don't know for a fact that their RL careers aren't finished, for all you know this morning Hodgson and Bridge might have had their legs blown off in a horrible calor gas accident.

Thats where youre bang wrong - i know for a fact that Hodgson hates calor gas from an incident in Parramatta in 2001. He would get closed enough to suffer any damage. Bridge is different though, fair play.
