We have seen enough news articles of "such lovely, gentle" dogs turning on children & other dogs.A friend of mine had his guide dog attacked by a dangerous dog a few weeks ago.

No. I'm saying arrest and imprison and ban the owner from having dogs in the future. And kill the dog. Dogs are not wild animals, they are domesticated and animals that cannot control themselves should be killed. This won't affect many dogs, most well reared and looked after dogs wouldn't dream of committing murder.

As an owner of a very hypo 6yr old chocolate lab I cannot fathom why the hell anyone even a dog lover for that matter would want to look after 5 dogs.Jesus just imagine how many bags he takes out,if he takes any that is.On a serious note having a Staffie off the lead is asking for trouble even if the dog has a gentle nature as their mental psyche is different to most other dogs.Respect Geno as a dog lover but 5 dogs off the lead.What was he thinking?

All dogs were off their lead both owners allowed their digs to greet eachother first mistake I never allowed my dogs off the lead near other dogs not because he would do anything but you don't know what the other dog is like! the owner if the two dogs is as culpable for this as is gene. imo it would not be getting this reaction had a Staffie been involved.

Sad thing is, Ormsby DID take leads out for the dogs, he just dropped them, when the dogs came to him. Bum tish.

A simple way to stop all this , is to muzzle ALL dogs which are out in public,wether Doberman or Pikanese. Anyone not abiding by this, gets a huge fine, and the dogs took off them, and forbidden from dog owning for life.

He should have the dogs removed from his "care" and put in an environment where they are not taken out to hunt and kill other animals. I just thought he was naively irresponsible until I learned he uses the dogs to hunt. Even the worst dogs can become loving and friendly with the right person so I don't think any dog should be euthanized. Ormsby should not be allowed to have custody of any animal.

It's quite simple for me. If there is a species of animal who's mental psychology is to attack and destroy when let loose then they shouldn't be in the public domain in the first place. I don't 'blame' the dog, it's a bit like blaming a lion for mauling it's prey. Just bloody crazy they are allowed as pets.

I have seen the pictures of the injuries caused to the other dogs and it is sickening.

I hope he never plays for us again.

Well unless he was proud of what his dogs did why post them on Instagram?Can't believe someone well paid and in a professional sport would get some sort of enjoyment out of that and as other posters have said should never play for this club again.

To be fair it usually seems to be good players who get in trouble at Wigan. If this was Sandow, Hill or Clark I can imagine it would be a different story.

whilst i'm not doing cartwheels that he's going, i have to say i've never warmed to him as a player, i always thought he seemed chucked in too early in 2014, especially against leeds, and that kick that he took with his foot in touch, i've never forgot that, its always annoyed me, to this day.

Always seemed to be a bit of a Billy Big Bollocks when I saw him out and around plus he never seemed to be much for being a team player .....either way we have much better players than him
