Can't comment just yet. However, I want to ask what happened when there was a kick in an d(I think Myler) caught it in the second half. Turned out a wigan penalty. Was he offside? and how bad was it?

Penalty was for offside which I'm not too sure about, it was a close one, however he knocked on anyway and failed to ground the ball.

He was clearly just trying to make the tackle and wasn't even looking at the ball. Should have been given.

I think you have to look at it from both ways... Wigan were the attacking team, so "advantage" (for want of a better word) lies with them. Because a Warrington player knocks the ball towards the Wigan line, should Wigan then be disadvantaged?

To the letter of the law, the decision was correct, benefit of the doubt to the attacking team... which is probably where the confusion over the video ref's text comes in.

That's all correct, apart from the fact that he wasn't passing the ball, he was trying to secure it/at best fumbling with it but was dunging it about the imminent tackle, the force of which made him lose contol of the ball.

The ones where the player is passing the ball, and it gets knocked down I don't think there's an RL supporter in the land would disagree with you on this.

A poorly constructed post perhaps, the point I was making was that all I've heard recently is how good Carmont is, comfortably the best left centre in SL, whereas people seem very quick to run Atkins down, nothing more than a winger playing centre. Well, on Sunday I thought he was head & shoulders better than Carmont in every facet of the game.

Every Warrington player was better than their opposite number on Sunday. Form is temporary, etc...
