Great Myler clips. Defences looked a bit crap though to be fair.

The fans who were old enough to remember Edwards would mention Myler. In fact I reckon if you did a poll of who the best British stand offs were in the last 30 years, Tony Myler would come top.

Out of fans who are only old enough to remember the last 10 years I reckon Briers would come top.

It made for a far more entertaining game though. What we have today is more like a war of attrition typically rounded off by a speculative kick on the last tackle.

To be fair, the defences you were referring too were nowhere near as bad as some of our defending prior to Tony Smith`s arrival.

Tony Myler was not only a classy stand off, he was also very strong and a powerful runner. His strength allowed him to offload in the tackle for fun, he made defenders look average.

Static defences, not moving up as one. And it may even have been with a 5 metre play the ball! Admit it lads, old defences were crap. I've no doubt Myler would still have been a good player today but he was up against a pretty crap rearguard.

Lee Briers and his dismal, non existant international career.

I thought he'd played for Wales & Great Britain? Which I believe mean's he has had an international career.

As for the GB shout, stop clutching at straws, hes played about 3 games.

By the way, I genuinley rate Briers as a fantastic club player but he has badly under achieved in terms of proving himself at the very highest level.

You said "non-existant"? Which isn't true. It was a weak attempt to have a go at Lee Briers. I also doubt you could play for Wales as you probably lack the skill and fitness to play RL, either semi-professionally or professionally.

A lot of players in this country haven't proved themselves at the highest level. Keiron Cunningham being one. But you choose to come on here and have a sly pop at a Warrington player. Very bad trolling, I expect more from an "Ultra".

Im not having a go at Lee Briers im simply stating that he has never successfully made the step up to be a cemented international, which IMO is under achieving of a player of his quality.

Cunningham's "under achieving" was down to injuries and not being available, where as Briers was just simply over looked by every Great Britain coach in the last 10 years, and when he was given a chance, didnt perform.

At the risk of being controversial im surprised that no-one has said Lee Briers, with the undoubtedly huge talent that hes got he should have won far more than he has.

Lets just hope we can now start putting that right
