It's a shame that Sam tomkns appears to have been shifted from stand off to fullback to accommodate an import.

Why?....He is as effective at full back as he was at stand off....To be fair, in modern rugby league, numbers 1, 6, 7, 9 and 13 all do pretty much the same job, barring the odd technical difference....For example,a loose forward requires a little bit of muscle for his defensive duties, whilst a full back will obviously need to be a solid and dependable tackler when required, which Tomkins appears to be.

For attacking purposes though, all 5 positions contribute in a positive way, so whether from stand off or full back, Tomkins will be a threat.

Well, with the thread title it was unlikely to go any other way.....To be honest, its been quite well-behaved and dignified up to now.

As a Leeds fan I think wire are the team this season. I think you will finish top. Who knows with the play off's?

Well it's not even that is it? I totally appreciate the failings of my own club. It just backs up the tread title. The pies go off at the first suggestion that their club is anything but infallible. This after they produce a few kids who they keep for a change and have one good season in years.

I must have missed such vital first teamers such as Phelps and paleasina, um, playing the first team for most of last year.

This thread is pretty redundant but most of you obviously missed the amount of youngsters regularly in the first team last year

yet again you miss the point, roberts did play in the u20's semi last year, i watched it and he was the stand out difference between the teams, that was what was being discussed!

I disagree, Wigan's defence was the difference, the Wire lads just didn't look like scoring when Wigan were holding on to that lead. Roberts was very quiet that day.

Towards the end of the season (and throughout if memory serves), the U20s had a large contingent from the U18s. The physical difference noticably being highlighted in the Saints game down here.

i find that you bring nothing to this forum and often make missinformed and stupid comments that you fail to address when challenge, choosing to backtrack or change the goal posts. in other words you get on my nerves. perhaps it's just poor communication skills, or a cherry and white biggoted view i'm not sure, pop in the 3 pigeons before the game one time and try and change my opinion. i might have a totally wrong view of you, you never know

Feka, Phelps, Pryce, Roberts - all played plenty of U20 (aka Reserves) rugby last year, not to ensure silverware at that level, but because they couldn't get into the 1st team at the times they played. To suggest we played them to %^&$ on the kids is laughable, it was more a case of trying to give them game time should they be required for 1st team action.

Hence - our strength in depth.
